  1. I nominate today’s show as the best and most important broadcast of the year!! To the root.

A line I caught at the break, listening to Axl in the jungle:

“If you got a hunger for what you see, you’ll take it eventually
You can have anything you want, but you better not take it from me”

    Was Axl singing to Israel?

    1. The broadcast of May 30, 2019 set the bar. Today’s broadcast raised it! I get a lot of my fighting words from the Trenches. The truth is out! The way Henry speaks it out, with, or without the F-bombs, is contagious! The more I listen and pay attention, the better I get at speaking it out and writing it out! The Word From the Trenches is echoing here in my world and some of the people who read it or hear it as I am able to articulate it, are paying attention! KA-BOOOOM!

      1. Nice 🙂
I’ve always liked Knopfler, but never heard the chune before.
Causes me to think of ‘ Down the Dusty Road’ by Hubert Sumlin
        Thanks and welcome, Diana

This is my first Hubert Sumlin song. He really makes his guitar ring! Nice share! Well, I have almost all the Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler albums. When I’m not listening to them, I have Henry in my ears. Without him here in my world, who knows how I would be able to cope with all this corona bologna, covid Canada corporate commie collective crap! Thanks, Hal Apeeno.

    1. Hal Apeeno,
Yeee haaawww! That was a lot of fun! I love the harp and I got a kick out of the clucking chicken noises. Here’s one for you, also with chicken lyrics. Here’s a line or 2 for ya. “Don’t you know I’m a flim-flam man. Chicken show it ain’t worth a damn. Blood. Gator blood. I got gator blood.”
The song writer is lead guitarist from Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, who also wrote, “Industrial Disease.” This song is “Gator Blood” from his 2012 solo album, “Privateering.”

    2. Hal Apeeno,
Yeeeee haaawww! I love the harp! The chicken clucking noises are a lot of fun! Hahaha. A good, well, needed laugh. Hahahaha! I know, we are at war here at the Trenches, but every once in a while you just need to let loose with a song that makes you laugh. Loved it! I’ve got one for you, too.

Song is over, so here’s mine, also with chicken lyrics. Here’s a line or 2 from the song. “Don’t you know I’m a flim-flam man. Chicken show it ain’t worth a damn. Blood. Gator blood. I got gator blood.” – by Dire Straits front man, Mark Knopfler, who also wrote “Industrial Disease.” This one is from his 2012 solo album, “Privateering.”

      galen,
The March 30, 2019 broadcast set the bar. Today’s broadcast raised it! The truth is out! The Word From the Trenches is being echoed in my world here, people are hearing it, and they are reading it, too! Some are even paying attention!
      KA-BOOOOM!
      p.s. Henry is tripleplusbright.
      Tr: Henry is BRILLIANT!!!!!

      1. On my 4th repeat, picking up what I missed from the first 3. “Line of Jacob… picking pepper out of fly shit!” Reminds me of one of the best lines of “Don’t Crash the Ambulance” on MK’s 2006 solo album, “Shangri-La”

“What we have here’s a dung hole place
Thought it was fly shit on the map
        Fat bastard, ugly face
        And the personal crap
        You can’t move the barriers
You can’t mess with oil and gas
        Had to go down there
Stick a couple aircraft carriers in his ass…”

I am guessing it is a commentary on US foreign policy. Maybe a sarcastic take on a conversation between daddy Bush and Gee dub-yuh. Reading between the lines, it’s all fly shit!

    1. Wow, thank you, Rob. Aside from the ‘Adam and Eve’ reference this is one of the most powerful testimonies I’ve ever heard. And I see it came via Aaron Russo, over a decade ago. Bless you, Aaron, wherever you are. You certainly helped stir the pot.
