Thomas Jefferson Quote

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
Thomas Jefferson

This quote is from Jefferson’s “Legal Commonplace Book” and is actually Jefferson including a quote from Cesare Beccaria’s Essay on Crimes and Punishments, as Jefferson was a big fan of Beccaria.

  1. This man was incredible, thank God we have our Jefferson’s right here fighting, picking up were he left off.

  2. “… an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

    The NWO’S only fear.
