Thug Learns Meaning of ‘Save the Drama for Your Mama’ After Testing Texas Granny

Conservative Tribune – by Sophia Clifton

Hanging on Jean Wilson’s front door in Houston is a sign that says, “Save the drama for your mama.”

One career criminal recently learned that lesson the hard way when he messed with Wilson and threatened her family.

Thirty-nine-year-old Clarence Johnson Jr. allegedly was riding his bike down southeast Houston’s Cherrydale Street while exposing himself.

Wilson, a 69-year-old great-grandmother, said she was taking out the trash when she noticed his lewd behavior.

“I was walking out to the sidewalk to put something in the trash can. He got off his bike and walked after me when I went back to the house. He was rubbing himself,” Wilson said, according to KRTK-TV in Houston.

Wilson explained that the man wouldn’t listen to her when she said, “Get away from me, get away from me! Leave my house! Don’t come up to my door!”

She said he persisted even after she locked herself inside the house and retrieved her firearm.

“I went inside and got the gun, and told him I was going to shoot if he didn’t leave,” Wilson said.

“He kept coming and kept coming, reached for my door after it was locked, and so I shot through the door,” she said.

Showing reporters footprints in the mud by her porch, Wilson explained, “That’s the last place he stepped.”

Wilson said she gave the man ample warning to go away or get shot. “I don’t bother nobody, I don’t get in nobody’s business. It’s just me and him, and like I keep saying, I warned him,” she said.

Having been shot in the stomach, Johnson managed to scramble back onto his bike and ride a few feet away from her house before he collapsed. He was taken to the hospital for his injury but remains under police custody.

Johnson reportedly has been in and out of jail nine times over the last 22 years, mostly on drug charges. Just a week prior to his incident with Wilson, he had been apprehended by police for allegedly running around naked on another Houston street while possessing the drug PCP.

Wilson said she knew none of this when she shot the man trying to get into her house, making it clear she did what she had to do to “save her family.”

“I did it for my kids. I didn’t care if I died, but my grandson is disabled and couldn’t get away if he got in the house. My 11-year-old great granddaughter was also in the house,” she said.

She later added, “You have to do what you have to do, especially to protect your kids.”

Wilson regrets that she had to go to such extreme lengths to stop Johnson from entering her house, even though she knew he meant her harm. “I shot someone,” she said. “I’ve never shot a gun in my life until then.”

“I feel like I might have to answer for that one day,” she told an interviewer. “I just hope God forgives me for it. I want to see my (late) daughter in heaven.”

Even though she might not feel like a hero, Jean Wilson certainly is one — to both her family and her neighborhood.
