We will be back home this weekend and the broadcast will be up Monday. The mountain just didn’t want to let me go yet.
Luckily we are a prepared people and always carry emergency rations. A couple of days of Spam and freeze dried meals is a fair trade-off for a couple more days of healing.

I do not think you are unique in this experience. The call, the pull. Perhaps these indulgences are an extreme attempt to not be ordinary or tamable. Not to make excuses (well maybe just a little) but life and its hoops often make one want to run away. I guess the thing is to not run too far. I have also learned to run in zig-zag formation, or even to run backwards. And then there’s running in place; that kinda gets me nowhere, which works if that’s where I want to go. Or stay. (grin) Alas, often it seems out of my hands. But then my hands fool me and take the reins. Go figure.
Could be the escapes exist because they are sometimes necessary. Ahhh, but then we have to escape the escape. Jus’ sayin’.
