Just wanted to let the Trenchers know that KOYOTE had a night of seizures again so he will not be commenting until he is recovered. We ask that anyone who prays in the name of Jesus to please pray for him.

Seizures are horrendous.
Have been taking tons of overpriced Rx dope (for many years now) to prevent them.

He refused to continue the Rx last time they tried so I did research and started him on Resveratrol which is a natural anti-seizure med. Trouble is he doesn’t like taking pills and we do not have a resources to pursue the cannabis ideas.

JILL: MY FRIEND CAME OFF HIS SEIZURE MEDS (seizures due to head trauma years ago) WITH THE HELP OF HIS DOCTOR……HIS DOCTOR THEN PRESCRIBED CAMOMILE 800mg 3 TIMES A DAY…..HE TOOK THIS FOR ONE MONTH THEN THE SEIZURES WERE NO MORE. I MIGHT ADD THAT MAGNESIUM MAY HELP AS PEOPLE WHO ARE DEFICIENT IN Mg MAY BE PRONE TO SEIZURES.

mary in ND, That is excellent info. However, you are forgetting what Jill said (above and in the past) about him not taking pills (That is something he and my Hubby have in common. Hubby also has a very strong gag reflex to pills/capsules. Flat out refuses to take them if they are an herbal/vitamin size capsule.). How do you recommend that she sneak it in w/o him tasting it, as he won’t swallow the pill/capsule (Shoot… It’s next to impossible to get em to take it once a day, much less 3 times a day)?
My 2 cents, grind pill, if grind able, in a mortar and pestle.
Maybe that will work for Jill. Hope so. It’s worth a try.
Didn’t work for me.
I tried it and he immediately barfed in front of and all over himself. He tasted it in the food/ drink (I’ve tried both), gagged, threw up, and accused me of trying to poison him. Then, guess who had to clean up the mess… That experiment was a big failure. LOL 🙁
I hear you. Sounds like the ideal method is to get the mineral/nutrient through good old fashioned food in your case.

chamomile comes in capsule form which can be opened and missed with food/liquid….I don’t know how it tastes as I have never tried it

It is a very old remedy for upset stomach, nausea, and to calm/induce sleep before bed. It has a very distinct flavor. Some people love it, some hate it.
I hope Jill sees your comment. It is well worth trying (even if she has to empty the herbal capsules in a shot glass of warm water w/ some honey…or his favorite alcohol shot 😉 … Surely he would rather take that kind of shot than endure his seizures or, God forbid LOL, swallow any capsules/pills 😉 🙂 ).
