When Did Military Bases Become ‘Gun-Free Zones’?

Breitbart – by AWR Hawkins

It hasn’t always been the case that only MPs can carry firearms on U.S. military bases. A mere twenty years ago, “gun free zones” made their way to these facilities under the watch of President Bill Clinton.

According to a Washington Times editorial written days after the Nov. 5, 2009 attack on soldiers at Fort Hood, one of Clinton’s “first acts upon taking office… was to disarm U.S. soldiers on military bases.”

When Did Military Bases Become 'Gun-Free Zones'?Clinton’s actions birthed Army regulations “forbidding military personnel from carrying their personal firearms and making it almost impossible for commanders to issue firearms to soldiers in the U.S. for personal protection.”

In other words, thanks to Clinton, citizens who join the military to use guns to defend liberty abroad cannot practice their constitutional right to keep and bear arms while on active duty at home.

As the Times editorial board put it: “Because of Mr. Clinton, terrorists would face more return fire if they attacked a Texas Wal-Mart than the gunman faced at Fort Hood.”

The same theme ran true at the Navy Yard in DC on September 16. Police were called after the shooter opened fired, and reports indicate it took approximately three to seven minutes for them to arrive. Each minute is an eternity when a lunatic with a weapon decides the “gun free zone” rules do not apply to him.

  1. “When Did Military Bases Become ‘Gun-Free Zones’?”

Shortly before they became gay cruising areas. It’s an endless progression that will eventually result in our new drag-queen military being responsible for escorting foreign troops throughout our country to assist in our slaughter.

To protect our freedom, of course.

  2. Does seem ironic(tragically in some cases)folks on military base unarmed not by choice but by decree.

  3. So sad. And yet people still join the military. I just don’t get it. What military? We have no military. We have a UN/Corporate military. That’s it. Want to join something, join a militia. That’s the only military that We the People have anymore and it’s not centralized or controlled by the Zionist elite. What more can you ask for in that regards?

  4. I worked for the US Military for over 20 years, a lot of it BEFORE Clinton, on military installations. Military and civilians could not have firearms, only MP. If a member of the military had a weapon in base housing it had to be registered.

  5. AND
the Navy stopped qualifying (in boot camp) with live ammo. They shoot m-16 looking laser guns at a photo pad 20′ away. The RDCs eliminated recruits at will by saying one lane killed the guy in the next.

Its would be a joke if it wasnt so god damned pathetic.
Out of the 84 in my division only 9 of us had ever fired a live round in our lives and one was a former cop. the rest mostly where from texas.

  6. wasnt this a Clinton “policy” ? ( sorry i see it was mentioned in the story ,, i typed before i read , my bad)

and if that war hog hitlery gets in our house she is gong to shit on all of us harder and faster than the african virus has
