Activist Post – by Catherine J. Frompovich
Recently someone brought to my attention an article that appeared in The New York Times titled “Why Everyone Seems to Have Cancer” by George Johnson, author of the book The Cancer Chronicles.
Reading that New York Times article, this writer found many areas and issues that she could challenge or debate, but probably none is more prominent than the role of radioactive particulates in the atmosphere since the Manhattan Project, when the atomic bomb was ‘invented’ and whose radiation levels deliberately had been under-reported, as is happening now with Fukushima. Very few seem to give any credence to radiation being the cause of cancer. However, radiation in any form IS a cause of cancer.
If you doubt there are radioactive particulates affecting all of North America and the Northern Hemisphere, maybe you will want to become familiar with what Fairewinds Energy Education suggests, i.e., becoming a “citizen scientist.” This video is extremely helpful, and everyone reading this blog is encouraged to take 15 minutes to watch and learn, especially finding out what can be inside your home vacuum cleaner dust bag.
The release of radioactivity during the 1940s testing on the Nevada desert and subsequently in the Pacific Ocean released untold microsieverts into the atmosphere that travel the globe on wind and ocean currents. Most are cumulative!
A sievert [SI], according to the American Heritage Science Dictionary is defined this way:
The SI derived unit used to measure the amount of radiation necessary to produce the same effect on living tissue as one gray of high-penetration x-rays. The sievert is named after Swedish physicist Rolf Sievert (1896-1966). [1]
Probably, no one is more familiar with radiation issues than geoscientist Leuren Moret, whose information one would be wise to become familiar with. Moret was a whistleblower in 1991 regardingscientific fraud at Livermore Nuclear Weapons Lab. In recent years she has branched out into space-based directed energy weapons.
As of early January 2014, the U.S. West Coast has been experiencing tremendous amounts of radioactive particulates that penetrate everything: air, water, land/earth, food, milk, farm animals, and people! According to Deborah Dupre, Human Rights Examiner, West Coast radiation levels are 500 times normal and no safety or health alerts have been issued by any government agency: federal, local, or state! Why? Shouldn’t people living in such close proximity to abnormal amounts of radiation be informed so they/we can take protective measures, especially regarding the uptake of radioactive particulates that affect the thyroid gland?
Even though local county officials are befuddled by the increase in radioactivity levels, no one is issuing an alert or alarm. Duh! Dupre has done an excellent job of posting links within her article to educate consumers about eating Pacific Ocean fish and seafood risks; the surge in miscarriages; “off-scale” Fukushima radiation levels; and how much radioactive cesium Fukushima has released into the atmosphere, about which no one seems to give a tinker’s dam.
Since much of the U.S. grown food supply in winter comes from the West Coast, that produce probably is saturated with radioactive particulates, including organically-grown crops. Can you imagine the double whammy that may come from eating GMO crops with radioactivity in them?
Or, how about Agent Orange corn spiked with radioactive particles? However, radiation in live foods, e.g., fruits and vegetables, may not be able to be recorded accurately because of the water content in them, as stated in the Fairewinds video about becoming a citizen scientist. That does not include the food irradiation process that may use electronic beam irradiation or two nuclear waste products: cobalt 60 and cesium 137. Here’s what’s being irradiated according to Food & Water Watch:
- Bacon – 1963
- Wheat flour and potatoes – 1964
- Bacon approval rescinded – 1968
- Garlic powder, onion powder and dried spices – 1983
- Additional dried spices, herbs and vegetable seasonings, including blends – 1985
- Dry and hydrated enzymes – 1985
- Pork – 1985
- Fruit and vegetables – 1986
- Increase maximum radiation dose for spices, herbs and vegetable seasonings – 1986
- Poultry – 1990
- Beef, lamb, and horsemeat, and byproducts – 1997
- Fresh shell eggs – 2000
- Sprouting seeds – 2000
- Fruit and vegetable juices – 2000
- Imported fruit and vegetables (for pest treatment) – 2002
- Ready-to-eat foods (i.e. deli meats, frozen foods) – 2005
- Molluscan shellfish (i.e. clams, oysters, mussels) – 2008
- Iceberg lettuce and spinach (for pathogen treatment) – 2008
- Crustacean shellfish (i.e. shrimp, crabs, lobster) – Pending
- Increase maximum radiation dose for poultry – Pending
- Unrefrigerated beef, lamb, pork and house meat, and byproducts – Pending
Note that certified organic foods should not be subject to food irradiation processing. Isn’t that another reason for eating organically grown foods?
Getting back to the question, “Why will everyone be getting cancer,” the answer may have to do more with all the radiation humans are exposed to and ingesting since the 1950s, which is causing cumulative effects to the gene pool and individual’s DNA replications. Eating freshly fallen snow, as children often do, ought to be discouraged.
Historically, it’s been documented that when whole grain wheat flour and corn flour were switched over to processed and basically denatured flours, which most of society in the U.S. began eating in the early 1900s, several vitamin-deficiency diseases became rampant, i.e., beriberi [B1 deficiency], pellagra, rickets, plus others. That’s when several man-made-chemical-B vitamins and iron “enrichment” became mandatory in food processing. To understand more about the vitamin B complex, this informationmay be helpful.
Perhaps, a similar correlation, or analogy, to the vitamin-B-deficiency problems may apply to more cancers in humans, especially from the introduction of man-made technological ‘advances’ like over 100,000 chemicals; fluoride in drinking water; nuclear medicine diagnostic tests and tracer agents; X-rays;chemotherapy drugs and pharmaceuticals, as per“Pharmaceuticals Listed as Known to Cause Cancer.” One pharmaceutical under consideration is given to hyperactive children.
However, nothing, in this writer’s opinion, pushes cancer rates to the top of the charts like radioactive particulates spewing unchecked into the atmosphere and water at the rate they have been at Fukushima since March 11, 2011 [2, 3], almost three years! Photos confirm radioactive current flow charts and other visuals. (Source).
Instead of spending and wasting all that money on wars we cannot win, why isn’t the USA putting resources into helping clean up Fukushima and, certainly, the West Coast of the United States? Why aren’t the two “mover and shaker” senators from California, Feinstein and Boxer, not all over this issue, since radiation contamination apparently affects their state’s agriculture and residents?
What are the two senators (Murray and Cantwell) from the largest apple, pear, and cherry production state, Washington, doing about it? All four senators just happen to be Democrats. What does that tell us? Apparently, they can’t get their party’s president to do something about it, even when they fully support his agenda.
Or, is the real answer, perhaps, found in the Georgia Guidestones’ first ‘command.’
