    1. Isn`t it though Paul. yea Zager wrote that song in 1964. Yep, talk about a prophetic song. Seems like what the song is about actually is happening today.
I forgot all about this one untill just a couple of hours ago and really had to do some searches for it but I think it was well worth it.
Yes I don`t think that PTB like this song at all – I had to shut down every time except for this one video. I played it more than a few times and checked it out a few more times just to make sure it was safe to post.
Thanks Henry/Admin. for posting this one. 😉

      1. Denny Zager did NOT write “In the Year 2525.” Not the lyrics, not the music, not anything. LEGAL: “In the Year 2525 (Exordium & Terminus)” was written exclusively, music & lyrics, by Richard (Rick) S. Evans, U.S. ©1968 #EU0000047617 with renewal U.S. ©1996 #RE0000730422 http://www.copyright.gov/records
        Also, Broadcast Music, Inc http://www.bmi.com
Rick Evans (writer) sang lead on the recording, Zager sang a four word harmony part, 1’st of each verse.
Denny Zager did not need to be there.

        1. Yes it was written in 1964 by Evans, my mistake – as I just checked it again. It was recorded in a small local record label and was realeased on a in `67, and wasn`t popular till 1969. yea, heard that on the history of this song on Last FM.
Yes I mis-quoted that it was Zager. My mistake Rick.

      1. Thanks Angel 😉 .
I forgot all about this song till just this morning and thought that this is one of those great songs. I just had to post it.
This was one of the hardest songs that I have ever posted to find one that was from a safe site. Finally found this one though, whew, glad I did.

          1. That`s right Angel, It was a Ringo Starr song 🙂 I just associate any Beatle member song a Beatles song I guess 😉

  1. At the time I listened to this song I was 9 or 10 (my older brother had it) I thought if someone was singing it, it have some truth or experience to it, so everytime the news would come out with a futuristic study I would remember this song and now they keep trying to make it our future! The Microeffect radio plays it as a promo.

  2. What’s funny is that EVERYBODY knows this song, but only one in a million can tell you the names Zager & Evans.

(I’ve been hearing this song since I was a baby, but if you asked me who Zager & Evans were, I’d have guessed they owned a gourmet delicatessen or something)
