Let’s very quickly put aside the major crimes that Hillary Clinton has committed.
We’ll put aside the “potential violations of [Espionage Act] statutes” – Director Comey’s words, not mine.
We’ll put aside the thousands of violations of the Federal Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act from when Hillary and her staff destroyed government records.
Let’s put aside the fact that Hillary and her staff received a lawful Congressional preservation order to safeguard all data, that the order was distributed to Hillary’s tech staff, and that they became “confused” and used BleachBit to permanently destroy the “preserved” documents.
We’ll put aside that clear defiance of a Congressional subpoena.
Put all that aside for a moment…
Clinton lied to Federal investigators and something as simple as using an iPad mini would, in a truly non-corrupt administration, be enough to put Hillary Clinton behind bars.
Now, just to preface this, the FBI, in their interview with Hillary Clinton, directly brought up the idea of her using an iPad mini. She declared she “did not recall” ever using an iPad mini as Secretary of State. Whether or not they asked her point blank in their interview if she used an iPad mini, or presented evidence of her using it that she denied, we can deduce that there would have to be a reason for this topic to even be injected into the interview at all. The FBI knew exactly what types of devices were used on the email account (13 mobile phones, 5 tablets). Unless Hillary decided out of the blue to declare that she had no recollection of using an iPad mini, she was prompted by the investigator. So, non-released evidence of this most likely exists.
November 2, 2012 – The iPad mini was released.
It might seem unnecessary to put out the release date, but this is important because it is towards the end of her time as Secretary of State. There were 91 days between the release date of the iPad mini and her last day as Secretary of State. Still plenty of time for Hillary’s handlers to purchase an iPad mini for her to use. She sure as hell wasn’t standing in line for one…
FLASHBACK: Hillary Clinton claims that she only carried around one email-capable device for convenience.
This is really the basis for a lot of my previous research into Hillary’s devices. She went out of her way to declare that she only carried around one device while at DoS. Such a definite statement can be proven false so easily, which is why there is so much documentation over the last year about her device usage.
For example, during a 2011 “Social Media Townterview” in the Philippines, Hillary Clinton was asked by a social media user “what’s on your iPod or iPad.”
Hillary Clinton responded:
Well, I have a quite large purse, because when you travel as much as I do, you never know what you’re going to need. So in addition to makeup and all that goes with that, usually my Blackberry and papers of all kinds, because I can’t get away with a small purse because I’m in and out of meetings all the time. So it’s kind of a purse/briefcase sort of operation going on here. But when I go overseas, like on this trip, there are many more bags that come with me than just my purse in case something else is needed. And my iPod, just the usual wonderful musical “interluding” diversions that we all need, a wide variety. And on my iPad, I have to confess, mostly news sites, because I do a lot of looking to see what’s going on around the world.
So, the idea that she only used one device is busted. She admitted to carrying multiple devices, including an iPad. Though, in this particular instance, she makes no mention of using her iPad for email.
However, the records do show that she used her iPads to communicate over email.
The earliest email where we have evidence of Hillary possessing an iPad was sent on June 24, 2010. It was an email with the subject line “HPAD.”
In it, Hillary receives an email from one of her Senior Advisors, Philippe Reines, informing her that her iPad had arrived. Hillary responds, “That is exciting news–do you think you can teach me to use it on the flight to Kyev next week?”
So, here we have a State Department employee teaching the Secretary of State how to use her iPad during a diplomatic trip. We have Hillary receiving her iPad two months after it was released, which is pretty soon given the delays and backlog of orders Apple had back then. Many had to wait much longer to receive their pre-ordered iPads. Important tidbit because it shows that Hillary Clinton gets new technology right away…
On July 24, 2010, Hillary – using the pseudonym “Evergreen” – which was her USSS codename – asked Reines for helpwith her iPad. She didn’t know how to charge it and was confused by the “spinning circle” in the url bar. She said that her iPad “still shows what it did when you first demo’d it for me.” This is a confirmation that Reines did help Hillary with her iPad weeks prior and that the archives show many emails that Hillary sent from her iPad.
She asked Reines about setting up the wifi on her iPad. This is important later, so remember this. He informed her that wifi was prohibited in her offices for security reasons and that he would help her get the iPad set up to use the State Dept’s more secure wireless system. Reines punted and suggested that Hillary ask Huma Abedin – estranged wife of serial pervert Anthony Weiner – to help her set it up until the next time he saw her.
On January 7, 2011, Hillary asked Monica Hanley, a State Dept employee, to retrieve her iPad because she accidentally left it on her desk at home.
IMPORTANT SIDENOTE: Hillary Clinton’s home had rooms officially designated as Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, essentially Top Secret rooms that were supposed to be secure. The FBI’s investigation notes determined that the SCIF-designated rooms at Hillary’s TWO homes were not always kept secure and were repeatedly left vulnerable.
The FBI’s findings related to the SCIF at Hillary Clinton’s Whitehaven Residency:
According to [Huma] Abedin, the SCIF door at the Whitehaven residence was not always locked, and Abedin, Hanley, and [REDACTED] had access to the SCIF.
On the SCIF at Hillary Chappaqua home:
Investigation determined the Chappaqua SCIF was not always secured, and Abedin, Hanley, and [REDACTED] had routine access to the SCIF
The Chappaqua house was the location of Hillary’s entire private email server, so the idea that it was left nonsecure repeatedly seems to be an obvious Espionage Act violation…
It is against regulation to store a personal computer, tablet, or phone within an SCIF, but the FBI confirmed that Hillary Clinton did indeed do this. It’s also against regulations to put classified information on private devices. So while it is against regulation to store an iPad in the SCIF, because these devices had classified information, it would be unlawful to store them anywhere else. That’s a weird catch-22… So not only did she violate the security regulation by bringing an iPad into the SCIFs at her home, but those SCIFs were left unsecured and non-cleared individuals were given routine access to rooms where Classified information was stored.

Within an email chain titled “PAKISTAN TROOPS BATTLE TALIBAN FOR US DRONE DEBRIS,” Hillary Clinton seems to have a senior moment and all of a sudden randomly starts asking about furniture.

Hillary made no effort to stop her employee from setting her iPad up for State Department work-related communications. As stupid as it is to have to include this email chain, this is concrete evidence that Hillary understood that she was receiving work-related emails on her iPad and a tacit acceptance of communicating over, and storing potentially classified information on, a nonsecure and unapproved device.
Here’s an email entitled “Left your ipad on your bench” where Hillary Clinton’s aide, Monica Hanley, as the subject line suggests, lets Hillary know that she left the Clinton iPad, full of classified information and completely unsecure, on Hillary Clinton’s “bench.” No idea where this “bench” is. Either it was within an SCIF, which Hanley was not allowed to go into, or it was an unsecured environment… Either way, it doesn’t sound like the “proper place of custody” for classified information pursuant to 18 U.S. Code § 793 (f)…
CLINTON recalled having issues with Hurricane Irene because cell phone systems were down, however she could still receive email on her iPad.
Not really related to this write up, but Hillary Clinton just admitted to relying on cell service to transmit and receive classified information, whether she was smart enough to know it was classified or not. Hillary Clinton used AT&T for her private Blackberry. Just like the “bench” that her aide left classified information on, the AT&T wireless system is not a “proper place of custody” for classified information… Another crime…
So at this point, we have concluded that Hillary Clinton used iPads (plural) to conduct email while Secretary of State. We confirm that through the email archives, Hillary’s own admission during her FBI interview, and the FBI’s digital forensic findings.
But we don’t have a smoking gun that she used an iPad mini. The FBI seemed interested enough to bring it up. Apparently, they found evidence of this somewhere, otherwise they wouldn’t be so specific. But none of Hillary’s emails contain the phrase “ipad mini” – that would just be too easy.
However, right before Hillary Clinton left the State Department, there was an email that caught my eye.
On January 27, 2013, just 4 days before Hillary Clinton stepped down as Secretary of State, her Senior Advisor Philippe Reines emailed her a youtube clip of her 60 Minutes interview. As you remember, Reines was the advisor who first set up Hillary Clinton’s iPad and then went back to fix it a couple weeks later when it wasn’t working properly.

Four days before leaving the State Department, Hillary cannot access a simple YouTube video on her iPad. Remember, that the person who sent her the link taught her how to use her iPad three years prior and set it up for her multiple times. We have dozens of emails that Hillary was able to access on her iPad throughout her tenure. Then, all of a sudden, just 4 days before resigning, she says she’ll have to watch a video tomorrow because she can’t get it to run on her iPad at home… Why? It’s not the same iPad. It was the fifth iPad Hillary used as Secretary of State. More on that in a second.
There’s two different reasons I can see for not being able to access a mobile youtube link on an iPad.
(1) Internet is down. Entirely possible. This was 4 days away from Hillary’s scheduled resignation. It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for the State Department and relevant agencies to start taking down what little digital security her Whitehaven DC home had. She was in Washington DC that day. She taped an interview with the President in DC that day.
(2) She had a new iPad that wasn’t configured correctly for her home’s wifi. As was mentioned earlier, Hillary’s iPads were not set up to just connect over civilian wifi. None of Hillary Clinton’s offices, including the SCIFs at her Whitehaven and Chappaqua homes, were configured for wifi while she was Secretary of State. It simply wasn’t secure enough. So suppose Hillary has her iPad mini configured for the DoS secure wireless network, and all of a sudden they pull the plug on that network just 72 hours prior to her resignation. Even if the house had wifi that went online post-DoS shutdown, her new iPad wouldn’t be configured to access the civilian wifi.
Going back, we know that Hillary Clinton used 5 iPads while Secretary of State. Prior to this write-up, I just assumed that she was losing them or that they were getting destroyed with hammers like her Blackberries. But this isn’t a random number. While Hillary was Secretary of State, Apple released five different iPad models. The first four generations of the iPad and the… iPad mini. Hillary Clinton wasn’t getting replacement iPads… she was upgrading.
iPad mini dropped in November of 2012. Christmas gift? Post-concussion gift? “Sorry You’re So Often Confused Post-Blood Clot” gift? Happy Retirement gift?
Go back to her “Townterview” she gave in 2011. She talked about how she always carried her BlackBerry in her cluttered purse but when she goes on trips where she has more bag space, she brings her iPad. If the space in her briefcase was an issue, then the release of the smallest iPad ever made would certainly be tempting, no?
The biggest admission, however, comes from an interview response that Hillary Clinton gave to Recode in 2015.
There are reasons when you start out in Washington on a Blackberry you stay on it in many instances. But it’s also — I don’t know, I don’t throw anything away. I’m like two steps short of a hoarder. So I have an iPad, a mini iPad, an iPhone and a Blackberry.
When Hillary Clinton was asked by FBI investigators whether she used an iPad mini while Secretary of State, she responded that she “did not recall.”
At the risk of actually treating this as a truthful statement (it’s not), this could mean three things:
(1) She doesn’t remember when she got the iPad mini.
(2) She knows she owned an iPad mini while Secretary of State but is unsure of whether she used it as the Secretary.
And the most likely option…
(3) She said she does not recall under advice of counsel to limit her criminal liability.
So, since she has no recollection now in 2016, this 2015 interview provides us with a window, however small, into a memory that seems to suffer from selective amnesia. So we are going to have to really go through this context.
Hillary Clinton talks about how people in Washington DC use Blackberries. While the rest of the world has moved on from these phones with physical, manual buttons, Washington has not. Why? Because they are more securable than an iPhone.
So she talks about how she had to use a Blackberry when she got to DC. But then she says she’s a hoarder and never throws anything away, so she still used her iPhone, iPad, and “mini iPad.”
The minute she left the State Department, she no longer needed to use a Blackberry. But she says she “stayed on it” but had a hard time throwing stuff – read: her iPads – away. So this statement, in context, has nothing to do with her time after she left State. She admitted to using an iPad mini and analyzing the context shows that she referred to owning an iPad mini as Secretary.
Which brings us full circle to 18 USC § 1001, colloquially known as “Making False Statements.” Much was said about the fact that Hillary wasn’t placed under oath during her FBI interview/interrogation, but this really isn’t correct. Whether under oath or not, individuals still have a legal requirement to give truthful answers to Federal law enforcement agents. The law is clear…
(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—
(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation…
… shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.
Simply saying that you “do not recall” is not a magic bullet to avoid prosecution. You actually need to have no recollection. As recently as 2015, Hillary Clinton had a recollection. She remembered using an iPad mini. It’s amazing how memories seem to fade with the threat of prosecution dangling over her head…
So what does this mean? Why did I just spend all this time writing out 18,000 characters about Hillary Clinton and her iPad mini? Because I want to show you just how easy it would be for the FBI to have charged Hillary if they wanted to.
Lying to a federal agent is what got Martha Stewart sent to prison. Plenty of famous people have fallen because of 18 USC Section 1001. But as we see from the notes, there was no follow-up. Hillary Clinton said she did not recall using an iPad mini and the interview just moved on.
Even me, a civilian without a security clearance who only has access to publicly released information, can tell you with a relatively high degree of certainty that Hillary Clinton used an iPad mini while Secretary of State. The FBI itself, by bringing the issue up, has evidence of it.
Hillary Clinton gave a false statement to the FBI and they didn’t even bother to press her on it…
Hillary Clinton is an unindicted criminal. She violated the Espionage Act, the Federal Records Act, the Freedom of Information Act. She engaged in graft by selling influence through the state department, violated our anti-corruption laws simply by creating an appearance of impropriety, and violated countless other more obscure statutes. And to top it all off, lied to a Federal agent about an iPad mini.
That iPad mini statement, if demonstrably false – which I believe it is – would be enough to send Hillary Clinton to prison for 5 years. Just that one crime. Add in all the other violations and we are talking about decades of potential jail time.
But it was rigged from the start. The FBI didn’t want to prosecute and Loretta Lynch – friend of the Clintons – wouldn’t prosecute even if they recommended it.
It’s a corrupt system, folks…

All these revelations show what a despicable scum bag Comey is. Perhaps he felt that Hillary was going to be the next President and was securing his position to continue as Director of the FBI. Comey must have taken a course in Hoover;101. What a dishonorable piece of shit!
I would more likely think he was thinking of his life knowing the Clinton history and less on his future employment. For it was obvious he knew she was guilty but would not could not state so directly but outlined all she had done that proved she was guilty but knew how far he could go.
