The more I hear the media campaign commercial to raise the debt ceiling, the more confused I become. I heard it said that if we do not raise the debt ceiling our debt will become worth less. I know the CEOs on Wall Street make their outrageous salaries doing nothing more than buying and selling debt.
Now if our debt becomes worth less, shouldn’t that be a good thing? Or is debt the only thing in this world that is worth less when there is more of it? It can’t be supply and demand because to say there is a shortage of debt would be ludicrous.
Hey, here is an idea. How about we hire someone to go buy up our debt while it is cheap? We could cut our debt in half, if we could get it for 50% less. Hey, I know what; let’s not pay those bastards anything. Let them drop our credit rating, clear down to an F. Then we can buy our debt back for pennies on the dollar. We’ll use those new pennies made out of zinc.
It seems the stock market might crash if we don’t pay our bills. I sure would hate to see all those rich elites losing their money.
You know for every ying there is a yang. Maybe this is the fine print of the fine print in the contracts they have used to rob us that lets them stay out of jail. Maybe when we don’t pay our debt the rich man’s money from the stock market somehow travels through the maze of the clauses of the clauses of the sub contract of the main contract and makes our debt worth less.
So are you confused now too? All I know for sure is that it is the Tea Party that doesn’t want the debt ceiling raised unless they are allowed to plunder Social Security. That must be the Koch Brothers’ Tea Party, not to be confused with the grass roots’ Tea Party.
And of course the socialists want the debt ceiling raised because they do not want to explain why there are no Social Security checks, welfare checks, or food stamps being sent while Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Electric, Halliburton, Blackwater, Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Mexico, and China are receiving their monthly payments right on time.
Personal I am praying the debt ceiling doesn’t get lifted. Not because I believe anything these treasonous liars are saying, but because I would rather the powers that be be forced to enact their austerity measures up front and in our faces. I don’t think it will take much to ignite that spark that will get this revolution under way. Let’s get this fight over with so we can start living again.
God bless this Republic, death to the international corporate mafia, we shall prevail.
