Armed Homeowner Jumps Into Action to Save Elderly Female Neighbor From Violent Carjacker

Guns Save Lives – by Dan Cannon

PHOENIX, ARIZONA – It’s good to see neighbors helping neighbors.

In this case, a brazen daytime carjackers threw an elderly from her car as she pulled into her driveway.

Fortunately, the woman’s neighbors came to her aid, and one of them was armed.

According to AZFamily.com,

The man and woman who live next door saw the suspect walking up to their neighbor and thought something was wrong. The woman went up to the vehicle and opened the passenger’s door.

Police say the suspect started to drive away, and the vehicle struck the woman and knocked her to the ground, causing her to receive a head injury.

After seeing his wife knocked to the ground, police say her husband fired several shots at the suspect in the vehicle from a handgun he had gotten from inside his house. The suspect fled the area in the vehicle.

While the suspect got away from the scene of the crime, he wouldn’t get far.

It turns out the suspect was hit by the neighbor’s gunfire and then crashed the car nearby. He died in an area hospital. Police are currently unsure if it was the crash or the gunshot wound that killed him.

This is the 24th defensive gun use we’ve documented in the state of Arizona and the 1,262nd defensive gun use we’ve documented overall.

    Good riddance.

  2. And that’s how it’s done. But if you try this at home don’t shoot your own daughter or wreck your own car.
