Russian President Vladimir Putin said those who thought Russia was trying to restore an empire and the Soviet Union simply incorrect. “That opinion is wrong, I don’t think it’s anything that corresponds with the truth but a tool in the information war,” Putin said at a meeting with international media bosses in St. Petersburg. “People are trying to label us as such, that we’re trying to restore the empire, the Soviet Union, to bring everybody under our influence. But this us totally inaccurate,” he said.

Russia is going to suspend the operation of all American GPS sites on its territory, starting from June 1, said Russia’s deputy PM, Dmitry Rogozin, who is in charge of space and defense industries.
“Starting June 1, we will halt the work of those stations on Russian territory,” Rogozin said.
Russia is to deny the US future use of the International Space Station beyond 2020 and will also bar its rocket engines from launching US military satellites as it hits back at American sanctions imposed over Ukraine crisis.

Over 97.5 percent of the earth’s water contains salt, and desalination is the process of removing salt from water. More than 16 billion gallons of desalinated water are produced daily, with much of it designated for drinking water in the Persian Gulf countries. It is a challenge for engineers worldwide to find a desalination process that is cheap enough to bring desalinated water to the poor and remote regions of the earth.
