Hot on the heels of  the Deutsche Bank debacle comes the next nail in Germany’s economic coffin.

Germany’s second largest bank, Commerzbank is planning to cut almost 10,000 jobs over and will stop paying dividends to shareholders. These actions will take place over the next 4 years.   Continue reading “Another Nail in Germany’s Economic Coffin: Commerzbank Cuts Out Jobs and Shareholders’ Profits”

A scathing new study has put artificial sweeteners under the spotlight and is supporting what health writers have been saying for years.

The researchers have found that most of the previous studies into the sweeteners touting their alleged “health advantages” over using sugar as a sweetener, were written or sponsored by the companies that produce the products.   Continue reading “Here’s How Industry-Funded “Research” Is Making Us Sick and Fat”

There is a very real possibility that Deutsche Bank is going down.

If the most prominent bank in Germany fails, the effect on Europe will be profound, and I don’t think the United States will escape the effects. The ripples will turn into a tsunami as they travel across the Atlantic. Already, the bank’s troubles have stressed the American stock market.

Angela Merkel has stated that Deutsche Bank will not be getting a bailout from the European Central Bank – the lender of last resort for European banks.   Continue reading “Deutsche Bank Is Going Under: Is The Real Reason Germans Were Told To Prepare For A National Crisis?”

Folks frustrated with the American election have been decorating their vehicles with the sentiment, “Giant Meteor 2016: Just End It Already.”  Well, they almost got their wish, and NASA missed the whole darned thing.

NASA, tasked with protecting us from incoming threats from space, failed to spot a meteor that slammed into the ocean off the coast of Australia yesterday (Sept. 16). Police received hundreds of calls as people watched a fireball move across the sky above the Gladstone area of Queensland.   Continue reading “Speaking of Giant Meteor 2016, NASA Missed the One That Hit Earth Yesterday”

As they say on Game of Thrones, “Brace yourselves. Winter is coming.”

One of the best ways to brace yourselves for the onset of cold weather, winter storms, and potential power outages is to prep your home for the season. And this is one of the nicest parts of prepping – quite a few of the cozy touches that you add to be more prepared are also delightful and decorative.   Continue reading “25 Cozy Ways to Prep Your Home for Winter”

It’s really quite embarrassing on a global scale when members of our own government seem to be deliberately trying to pick fights with people who aren’t interested in fighting with us. If you’ve traveled outside of the United States much, you probably know that we Americans have a rather negative reputation off of our own shores. Now, generally speaking, that isn’t our fault as individuals. You and I don’t create headlines that make waves throughout Europe and Asia.

While average Americans aren’t directly responsible for this, our federal officials are. I’ve written recently about President Obama doing things in Syria that are worsening the conflict there. I’ve also written about the fact that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin are starting to butt heads. And finally, I’ve warned time and time again that war is upon us – and everyone knows but the US.   Continue reading “Here’s How CIA Puppet Masters Are Deliberately Picking a World War III Level Fight”

A peeing contest is  “a game in which participants compete to see who can urinate the highest, the farthest, or the most accurately.”

President Obama and President Putin have been engaging in just such a match for quite some time, but things are beginning to escalate in a very ugly way. The two leaders are blaming one another for two deadly air strikes in Syria, and tempers are rising.   Continue reading “Guess Who’s About to Get Wet in the Peeing Contest Between Obama and Putin?”

You know what I find absolutely beautiful?

When a person takes over something that is usually left to be done by the government, does it a thousand times more efficiently, and does it with a true sense of compassion.   Continue reading “Virginia Woman Feeds 150 Hungry People for $20: More Proof That the Government Is Obsolete”

There’s a new mumps outbreak in Northern Arkansas, and closely behind it, people who believe in forced vaccination are crying out for more the heads of the unvaccinated…but this time around, 90% of the kids affected are fully vaccinated.

Mumps outbreaks are on the rise, and everyone would like to blame parents who opt out of childhood vaccinations or use a modified schedule. But in many of the recent cases, the people affected are vaccinated. This leads to a lot of questions, and it seems that no one has a definitive answer to the big one: why are all of these outbreaks happening?   Continue reading “No One Seems To Know Why There Are So Many Mumps Outbreaks Happening”

You know, I really don’t care what religion you are.

If you, in your religious fervor, begin planting bombs, lopping off heads, opening fire in a crowded place, or stabbing people, I’m going to think you are a horrible person. I don’t care if you’re doing this to please God, Allah, or some alien life form that you worship. Bad actions are bad actions, regardless of your motivation.   Continue reading “America Under Siege: Staying Alive If You’re In the Wrong Place at the Wrong Time”

By now, you may have heard some murmurs about another sinkhole in Florida, and that it might be leaking radioactive particles into some body of water or another.

The information out there is vague. Sinkholes are not an uncommon phenomenon in Florida. It doesn’t seem like a huge deal, the way the media is brushing it off. “Oh, just another sinkhole.”   Continue reading “Cover-Up: That Sinkhole in Florida Is Far Worse Than Officials Are Admitting”

There’s no better way to prepare kids for the future than through play.  The lessons we learn during playtime as youngsters will stick with us through life. How else could we learn the rules of society and how we should appropriately work within those rules?

Back in the old days, we learned that if we were jerks to the neighbor kids, we’d get clotheslined playing Red Rover. Ouch. But, lesson learned, don’t be a jerk – or if you are, expect that people will react accordingly.   Continue reading “How to Turn Kids Into Debt Slaves: Toymakers Busted for Data Mining Children”

In the worst real life game of “Would You Rather” ever, many Florida residents would far prefer to risk contracting the Zika virus than to be sprayed like a bug.

This week, protesters showed up in gas masks to let the Miami Beach City Commission know how they really feel about aerial spraying of Naled in their neighborhoods.

Things got kind of heated.   Continue reading “Would You Rather Risk Getting Zika or Be Sprayed With Toxic Pesticides?”

These days, when you hear a sentence beginning with the words, “It’s my job to…” it’s hard not to think about people enthusiastically enforcing laws that never should have been on the books in the first places, all in the name of occupational security. For many decades, “just doing my job” has been a blanket excuse for blaming one’s actions on someone else. The news is flooded with tales of corruption, violence, terrorism, and evil-doing. And everyone is just “doing their jobs.”

It’s enough to make us begin to lose hope for humanity.   Continue reading “Hero Driver Rescues 20 Children From Burning Bus: “It’s my job…””

Sometimes, things happen that seem good on the surface, but underneath all that, they’re actually really terrible.

A seemingly innocent act can be the precursor to chaos and anarchy. While the people perpetrating that act may have good intentions, we all know what the road to hell is paved with, right?   Continue reading “7 Reasons the Government Must Stop Little Free Libraries for the Sake of the Nation”

Manhattan, Kansas is in the news due to a mysterious illness sweeping through schools and making hundreds of children ill.  Natural Blaze reports:

Symptoms include the necessity to go home due to stomach issues like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. At first, officials thought it was norovirus (highly contagious stomach flu). Indeed, the media reports and officials were certain it was norovirus and a major outbreak had practically downed a Nevada school last year. However, as the sickness continues, this idea has been abandoned even though it spreads in a similar manner.

Thursday morning, residents in Boston witnessed a bizarre and disturbing event that sounds like something out of a Hitchcock movie: 47 dead birds fell from the sky over their neighborhood for no obvious reason.

And it wasn’t just dead birds…

Investigators are working to determine the cause, and whether the deaths of two cats in the neighborhood could be related. A third cat was also affected, reports necn.com.   Continue reading “Why Did Dozens of Dead Birds Fall From the Sky In Boston?”

It’s no secret that the West Coast is waiting for The Big One. From fictionalized versions like the movie San Andreas (which, although full of dramatic special effects and creative license, still had a few things to teach us) to unsettling novels like Cascadia, which is all the more alarming for its scientific accuracy, everyone is imagining that the worst could be headed the way of Washington, Oregon, and California.

There is a basis in reality for this. Some scientists predict the Cascadia Fault could erupt with the biggest earthquake in recorded history. Others feel that the San Andreas Fault will be the one to go first.   Continue reading “Is the Big One Coming? FEMA Increases Earthquake Preparedness Activities”

If the news announced tomorrow that a pandemic had begun and that your area, in particular, was at risk, would you be prepared?

It was only a couple of years ago that Ebola arrived on the shores of the United States. By sheer luck (certainly not by a well-managed response) the virus was contained. I had been prepping for quite some time, and had dealt with lengthy power outages, winter storms, and nearby forest fires with aplomb, but when Patient Zero was diagnosed in Dallas, I realized that out of all of the things I was prepared for, a pandemic was not one of them. Sure, I’d have been better off than people who were completely unprepared, but I was lacking some vital supplies.   Continue reading “Are You Prepped for a Pandemic?”

The Environmental Poisoning Protection Agency is a federal agency that is charged with the responsibility of writing and enforcing legislation to protect human health and the environment. Established under Nixon in 1970, the EPA is another one of those agencies that sound like a good idea until you peel off the shiny friendly top layer to discover the stench of corruption underneath.

They’re protecting someone, all right. But it isn’t who they claim to be looking out for. They have a long, sordid history of links to pollution and to corporate interests.   Continue reading “The EPA: They’re Protecting Someone, But It Isn’t You”
