The Old Farmer’s Almanac

Our “Gardening by the Moon” calendar works according to the age-old belief that phases of the Moon affect plant growth. Lunar planting is a longtime Old Farmer’s Almanac tradition.

Keep in mind that the four gardening regions below are quite broad; we also offer a modern gardening calendar (not Moon-based) that gets down to zip code level.   Continue reading “Gardening by the Moon Calendar – Dates for Starting Seeds”

A recent study published in Critical Reviews in Microbiology lends support to the concept that opportunistic Candida albicans (yeast) infection may not just be a consequence of cancer, but is an actively contributing cause as well.

Titled, “Candida albicans and cancer: Can this yeast induce cancer development or progression?“, the study provided the following important background information on this controversial subject:

A couple from Oregon have been told that they must destroy a 2-acre pond on their land because the government said they have to. The pond on Jon and Sabrina Carey’s 10-acre property near Butte Falls is the land’s most attractive feature and has been in place for 40 years. In an interview with the Mail Tribune, Jon became teary-eyed as he stood next to the pond and said, “I basically bought a lemon. That’s how they explained it to me.” The couple, who purchased the property two and a half years ago, are desperate to keep this feature intact, and therefore have “pleaded with the Medford Water Commission to adopt the pond and treat it as a municipal water source, something Jackson County Watermaster Larry Menteer has opposed because of the precedent it would set. The Water Commission has rights to the watershed around the Careys’ property, where dozens, if not hundreds, of ponds are located, as well as Medford’s primary source of water, Big Butte Springs”, reports the Mail Tribune.   Continue reading “Oregon Couple Forced To Destroy Their Pond Because Government Ruled It Illegal”

It started on June 15, 2015. CNN did an expose on St Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The segment aired on Anderson Cooper’s 360 Degrees; reporting was done by medical correspondent Elizabeth Cohen.

The story centered around the infant heart surgery program. It said the infant mortality rate was stunning, three times the national average as compiled by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS). CNN interviewed several families who have lost children or have had unsuccessful operations with long-term effects, and featured heart-wrenching stories of families that were devastated by the alleged malpractice.   Continue reading “CNN Found Guilty In Lawsuit, $30M Penalty Advances For Knowingly Publishing Fake News Hit Job”

Science today, in all fields, is plagued by corruption. Yet, more often than not, attempts to create awareness about scientific fraud — an issue that few journalists have been willing to address — are met with the response, “Well, is it peer-reviewed?”

Although good science should always be reviewed, using this label as a form of credibility can be dangerous, causing people to dismiss new information and research instantaneously if it doesn’t have  it, particularly when that information counters long-held beliefs ingrained into human consciousness via mass marketing, education, and more.   Continue reading ““Peer Reviewed:” Science Losing Credibility As Large Amounts Of Research Shown To Be False”

Natural News – by Mike Adams

Late last week, I received a direct threat that warned if I did not take steps to destroy Alex Jones and InfoWars, I would be targeted for destruction in a campaign of smears, censorship and defamation.

Instead of giving in to the enemy, I refused to take the bait and went public with details of the threat, warning everyone in the new media that sinister forces were now being pursued to undermine and silence every anti-establishment (and pro-Trump) voice on the internet.
