A majority of Americans believe the First Amendment should be rewritten and are willing to crack down on free speech, as well as the press, according to a new poll.
More than 60 percent of Americans agree on restricting speech in some way, while a slim majority, 51 percent, want to see the First Amendment rewritten to “reflect the cultural norms of today.” The Campaign for Free Speech, which conducted the survey, said the results “indicate free speech is under more threat than previously believed.” Continue reading “Poll: Majority of Americans Want First Amendment Rewritten”

The hack Orwellian platform YouTube took down more than 100,000 individual videos during the second quarter of the year. It has been run-rating 30,000 a month since. The number of comments removed during the same period doubled to over 500 million, due in part to its dubious new “hate-speech policy.” Continue reading “Hallelujah, Godspeed! A Manhattan judge Tuesday sentenced two members of the right-wing Proud Boys group to four years in prison for pummeling leftist Antifa members during a brawl on the Upper East Side.
Justice Mark Dwyer gave Maxwell Hare, 27, and John Kinsman, 40, terms that were six months above the minimum for the caught-on-camera skirmish near the Metropolitan Republican Club after Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes delivered a speech. India’s contract workers in the United States are raising funds to run attack ads against the Democrat Senator who is blocking their demand for fast-track green cards.
The fundraising campaign is being run by an Indian-run group titled Immigration Voice, and it is targeting Illinois Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin. Continue reading “India’s Visa Workers Raise Funds to Launch Attack Ads on U.S. Politicians”
I was deeply shaken while witnessing yesterday’s events in Westminster Magistrates Court. Every decision was railroaded through over the scarcely heard arguments and objections of Assange’s legal team, by a magistrate who barely pretended to be listening.
Before I get on to the blatant lack of fair process, the first thing I must note was Julian’s condition. I was badly shocked by just how much weight my friend has lost, by the speed his hair has receded and by the appearance of premature and vastly accelerated ageing. He has a pronounced limp I have never seen before. Since his arrest he has lost over 15 kg in weight. American troops pulling out of Syria are set to go to Iraq, the Pentagon has confirmed. Defense Secretary Mark Esper said “The US withdrawal continues apace from northeastern Syria… we’re talking weeks not days.”
While traveling to the Middle East, Esper told reporters “The current game plan is for those forces to re-position into western Iraq,” which means about 1,000 soldiers are set to be re-deployed to America’s more secure bases in the neighboring country. A GOP Senator met with more than 100 Indian contract workers in Congress and publicly urged them to lobby U.S. Senators for passage of his legislation to give citizenship to more Indian workers who push middle-class Americans out of college-graduate jobs.
Utah Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) made the request on Thursday, shortly his fourth bid to pass his S.286 green-card giveaway bill. The bill was quickly blocked by an objection from a Democratic Senator — while the other 52 GOP Senators did not speak out. “We’re now down to one objector, just one,” Lee claimed, adding: Continue reading “GOP Sen. Well, it happened again. No sooner had one Texas police officer been convicted of murdering an innocent citizen in his own home than it happened again. The police officer just convicted was a Dallas policewoman; this latest police officer, who is now charged with murdering an innocent citizen—once again, in her own home—was a Fort Worth policeman. Why are so many big-city cops murdering American citizens? Continue reading “Why Are So Many Big-City Cops Murdering American Citizens?”
LONDON (Reuters) – Global banks earned $1 billion from trading government-backed U.S. mortgage securities in the first half of 2019, data shows, a fivefold increase on last year for what industry sources say is the fastest growing revenue source in investment banking.
The shift this year to a more dovish interest rate policy by the U.S. Federal Reserve has sparked a surge in investor demand for packaged-up home loans issued by mortgage agencies Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae and Freddie Mac. Continue reading “Banks reap $1 billion from U.S. mortgage bond trading boom”
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), partially funded by billionaire George Soros, is demanding President Trump’s administration release pregnant migrants at the United States-Mexico border into the interior of the U.S.
In a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials, ACLU attorneys request that instead of returning pregnant migrants to Mexico while they await their asylum hearings in the U.S. — a plan made possible by Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” deal — those migrants be released into the country so they can deliver their children, who would automatically obtain birthright American citizenship.
