Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a letter to the chairman of the Target Corporation asking him for “the full text of Target’s safety policies.” The AG wrote, “As chief lawyer and law enforcement officer for the State of Texas, I ask that you provide the full text of Target’s safety policies regarding the protection of women and children from those who would use the cover of Target’s restroom policy for nefarious purposes.”

Attorney General Paxton told Target Chairman Brian C. Cornell that the Texas legislature “may at some point in the future” address the issue of transgender persons using facilities that correspond with their gender identity.   Continue reading “Texas AG to Target: Show Me Your Safety Policies”

Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore (R), who is currently seeking her party’s nomination for an open U.S. House seat, said last week that she believes the right to self defense includes the right to aim your gun anyone who aims a gun at you, even if they are a law enforcement officer.

In an interview with a local TV station last Sunday, Fiore attacked the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as “a bureaucrat agency of terrorism.” Pressed by KLAS-8 host Steve Sebelius about whether she believes the Second Amendment grants citizens the right to point a weapon at a “duly authorized law enforcement officer who is just out there doing his job,” she said that self-defense includes the right to aim back at anyone who points a gun at you first — and to put your own life ahead of theirs.   Continue reading “Nevada Lawmaker: It’s Okay To Aim Guns At Cops If They Aim At You First”

President Obama has budgeted $17,613 for each of the estimated 75,000 Central American teens expected to illegally cross into the United States this year, $2,841 more than the average annual Social Security retirement benefit, according to a new report.

The total bill to taxpayers: $1.3 billion in benefits to “unaccompanied children,” more than double what the federal government spent in 2010, according to an analysis of the administration’s programs for illegal minors from the Center for Immigration Studies. To casual observers, Oregon might seem like an idyllic state where people are at one with nature, cycling and hiking surrounded by greenery, and fishing in crystal-clear streams. While the state is undoubtedly blessed with an abundance of natural riches, what you see on the surface is only part of the story.

What is the rest of the story, you ask? The award-winning new film from Pacific Rivers, Behind the Emerald Curtain, fills in a lot of the blanks. The film paints a bleak but honest picture of Oregonians affected by logging, landslides caused by clearcutting and toxic pesticide spraying.   Continue reading “Oregon’s natural beauty may vanish in the near future, thanks to toxic pesticides, man-made landslides and excessive logging”

Donald Trump is being criticized by the Anti-Defamation League for repeating a slogan the group believes to be anti-Semitic.

The ADL has taken issue with Trump’s use of the phrase “America First” to describe his approach to foreign policy.

The phrase was originally used by a group called the America First Committee in the 1940s, which pushed to keep the U.S. out of World War II.   Continue reading “Trump Slammed by Jewish Group Over ‘America First’ Slogan”

Led by Governor Sam Brownback, the state of Kansas informed the Obama administration this week that it is defying its dictates for Kansas to cooperate in the resettlement of refugees from Syria. In a letter to Robert Carey, director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, Brownback wrote, “The State of Kansas hereby withdraws its Refugee Resettlement Program State Plan and terminates its participation in all federal refugee resettlement grants and programs, effective at the earliest possible date.”

Brownback added that he was taking his action to “protect the safety and security interests of the State of Kansas.”   Continue reading “Kansas Defies Obama on Syrian Refugees”

America loves kids, but Uncle Sam has a favorite: children of refugees.

Among recipients of food stamps, welfare cash and Social Security payments, refugee children receive more in taxpayer-funded aid than children of citizens, according to a new report on federal spending from the pro-immigration Migration Policy Institute.   Continue reading “Report: Children of refugees get more federal benefits than poor U.S. kids”

A government official warned employees deploying for the influx of illegal immigrant minors about health and safety risks because the new arrivals would have tuberculosis and some were young adults—not children—like the Obama administration proclaimed, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch. “We might as well plan on many of the kids having TB,” states a June 26, 2014 guidance e-mail from a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) environmental health scientist, Alaric C. Denton, as the agency prepared to handle the crisis. “Most of these kids are not immunized, so we need to make sure all our staff are immunized.” Denton, who is stationed at the CDC headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, predicts in the directive that the agency will be overwhelmed pretty quickly and that screening requirements will be hard to keep up with.   Continue reading “CDC Official Warned Staff of Health, Safety Risks During Influx of Illegal Alien Minors: “Plan on Many of the Kids Having TB,” “Be Wary of Personal Safety.””

Social media posts, along with Cruz’s campaign website, reveal that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) supporters in the Colorado Republican Party were responsible for crushing an effort to give Colorado the ability to vote in a state primary.

In May of 2015, four Colorado Senate Republicans killed an initiative “to create a presidential primary in 2016,” reported the Denver Post. “Under the bill, Colorado would have held a presidential primary in March that ran parallel with the state’s complicated caucus system… when it came before the Senate Appropriations Committee, four Republicans voted to kill the bill with three Democrats supporting it.”   Continue reading “Revealed: Colorado Lawmakers Who Voted to Scrap Election Are Ted Cruz Delegates”

The Environmental Protection Agency is not protecting underground drinking water supplies from oilfield contamination and in several instances has allowed companies actually to dump wastewater into aquifers, the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) says in a new report.

The report blasts the EPA for its oversight in California, where, since 2014, the state has allowed oil companies to violate safe-drinking water laws. An AP analysis in 2015 found that California had handed out 2,000 permits giving oil companies permission to dump wastewater into federally protected drinking water. The tragedy impacted at least 11 aquifers.   Continue reading “The Government Just Admitted It Allowed The Poisoning Of Drinking Water”

Personal Liberty – by Brandon Smith

If you are a longtime activist in the Liberty Movement then you are well aware that elections do not matter in terms of the future direction our nation takes. Presidents are puppets of international financiers, and so are most legislators. Whenever a president does attempt to go against the system, he either ends up shot by a “lone gunman,” or his office is disgraced by a conveniently-leaked scandal.

Today, elections represent the illusion of choice; that is all. The leadership of both major parties seem different in terms of their rhetoric, but this is all cosmetic. Underneath the talk, Democrat and Republican leaders are nearly identical in their support for bigger government, more centralization, less constitutional protections, more globalism, more power to international banks and central banks, and less transparency and accountability.   Continue reading “The weirdest possible outcomes for the strangest election in U.S. history”
