Portland — City officials in Portland are planning to turn “poop into power” with a brand new facility, The Oregonian reported Thursday. From the article:

“The Portland City Council unanimously approved on Wednesday the construction of a $9 million facility to convert methane gas in the city’s sewer system into natural gas. City officials plan to sell that natural gas through a Portland-based natural gas distributor to governments and organizations looking to replace diesel fuel in cars, buses, garbage trucks and other fleets of vehicles.”   Continue reading “‘Poop into Power’: Portland Plans to Harvest Natural Gas from Sewer System”

Punta Gorda, FL — She only intended to support police — whose collective, national reputation has been sullied by countless questionable killings — so, Mary Knowlton attended the Citizens Academy to try and understand the dangers of policing firsthand.

Instead, the 73-year-old retired librarian discovered too late why the pervasive fear of law enforcement in the United States is not only perfectly justified, it’s sound advice — Punta Gorda Police Officer Lee Coel fatally shot Knowlton during a demonstration for which she volunteered — because the inexcusably inept cop had loaded live instead of blank rounds in his firearm.   Continue reading “Graphic Video Released Showing Cop Kill Elderly Librarian During a Police Demo”

If anyone gave any credibility to what came out of the mouth of United States officials before, the Trump administration has done everything possible to eliminate what was left of America’s reputation on the world stage. What is even more concerning, however, is that the statements made by the United States are no longer couched in nuance hidden between the lines but are now open statements of intended aggression and obvious preparation for the next military assault.   Continue reading “U.S. Sec. Georgia Gwinnett College tried to dispel a First Amendment lawsuit by claiming that it removed a preacher from campus because his discussion of the Gospels “rose to the level of ‘fighting words.’”

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed a lawsuit in December challenging the Georgia college’s restrictive speech policies after student Chike Uzuegbunam was repeatedly prohibited from discussing his Christian faith on campus, even after he had obtained permission to do so in one of the school’s free-speech zones.   Continue reading “College argues that preaching the Gospel is ‘fighting words’”

The federal agency responsible for deporting illegal immigrants is in serious trouble, with overwhelmed officers that can’t keep up with monstrous workloads and repeatedly lose track of hardcore criminals inside the United States. Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens with criminal records have been released by authorities in the U.S. and the Homeland Security agency responsible for keeping track of them, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is doing a miserable job, according to a new audit made public this week by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Inspector General.   Continue reading “Overwhelmed U.S. Deportation Officers Lose Track of Thousands of Criminals—“You might work 18 hours a day, but you still won’t get caught up.””

Toledo, OH — In 2016, the attention of much of the world was centered on a rumored sex trafficking scandal in Washington, DC known as “Pizzagate.” While any truth that pizzagate exists was dismissed by the mainstream media as rumor and fodder for conspiracy theorists, many people felt that at the very least, it warranted an investigation. However, that did not happen.   Continue reading “Pastors Advocating for Foster Kids Caught Running Child Sex Trafficking Ring”

Well, this is certainly comforting (in much the same way getting a hug from a rabid, starving polar bear would be considered “comforting”).

A team of scientists attempted to train a deep learning algorithm to recognize illustrations from thousands of pages of children’s books including those by authors Dr. Seuss, Marc Brown, and Maurice Sendak. They used not one or even two but three models to do it: ALexNEt, VGG-19 and GoogLeNet.   Continue reading “Scientists Try to Teach AI to Create Children’s Book Art — AI Creates an Apocalyptic Nightmare from Hell Instead”

In order for the State to make people believe that “democratic” centralized government is necessary for a functioning society, it must work to keep the people from gaining too much freedom and self-sufficiency.

But technology and information sharing are allowing people, like never before, to break from entrenched power interests that control our money, our economy, our energy, our food, our property – and thus our lives.

CBS News first reported a manhunt inside the Central Intelligence Agency in search of the source who provided thousands of top secret documents to Wikileaks, published in its “Vault 7” — which revealed the clandestine agency’s hacking tools and surveillance practices.

“Sources familiar with the investigation say it is looking for an insider — either a CIA employee or contractor — who had physical access to the material,” CBS reported Wednesday evening. “The agency has not said publicly when the material was taken or how it was stolen.   Continue reading “CIA Launches Manhunt for ‘Traitor’ Who Showed the World They Spy on EVERYONE”

1. It is common for the bodies of dead migrants to be found after starvation and exposure to heat on U.S. soil.

After illegal immigrants get past the river or fence, they still have to clear a secondary checkpoint by U.S. Border Patrol. Those checkpoints are routinely set up between 60 and 80 miles north of the border. In places like Falfurrias, Texas, human smugglers force illegal immigrants to walk dozens of miles through harsh desert-like terrain in order to get around the checkpoints. The enemy of my enemy has safe air bases.

In a move which either suggests that i) Syria is preparing for more US attacks, ii) really likes Russians, or iii) is simply doing the logical thing, CNN reports that the Syrian government has moved most of its combat planes to a base located in close proximity to the Russian air base in Syria to protect them from potential US strikes. The movement of the aircraft to the air base at Bassel Al-Assad International Airport began shortly after the US’s April 6 Tomahawk cruise missile strike on Sharat air base, which destroyed some 24 Syrian warplanes.   Continue reading “Syria Moves Most Of Its Combat Planes Next To Russian Base For Protection”
