This included an encounter Barack Obama at the White House’s Astronomy Night last evening, even though the meeting was left in doubt after Mohamed met last Wednesday with an African president wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court. JERUSALEM (AP) — With no end in sight to weeks of Israeli-Palestinian violence, Israel’s prime minister headed to Germany on Wednesday for a high-profile meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry aimed at restoring calm to the region.
As Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Berlin, a Palestinian stabbed a female soldier near Jerusalem, critically wounding her, police said, before he was shot and killed by forces. Earlier, Israeli troops shot a 15-year-old girl in the West Bank after she allegedly approached a settlement with a knife. Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad has visited Moscow on his first overseas trip since the civil war broke out in his country in 2011.
During the surprise visit, he held talks with President Vladimir Putin.

A New York police officer was killed after he was shot in the head during a confrontation with an armed man by the FDR Drive in East Harlem on Tuesday, police officials said.
The officer was identified by police as 33-year-old Randolph Holder. With his family at his side, Holder was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital after being transferred there in critical condition. Continue reading “Police officer dies in hospital after being shot on duty – NYPD”
St Louis police have confirmed that six fires at churches in predominately black neighborhoods near Ferguson occurring over just 10 days have been classified as arson. There have been no injuries and officials don’t yet have a suspect.
“It is arson,” St. Louis Fire Captain Garon Mosby told media outlets, according to the Associated Press. “These [fires] are being intentionally set.”
Mosby said the possibility of a hate crime for religious or racial reasons “is part of the dynamic” in an ongoing joint investigation currently being conducted by the St. Louis Regional Bomb Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. UPDATE: Jeanerette Marshal Fernest “Pacman” Martin said he believes his office’s raid on a Jeanerette family’s home over the weekend was appropriate.
Martin said his office heard reports that the stolen car from the Family Dollar Store was located at the Landry’s home earlier that day. He said he is concerned with finding the person who robbed the store and injured the clerk, the safety of his officers and he would react the same way if the Landry’s needed assistance. The Daily Express is reporting that a giant floating city appeared in the clouds over the Chinese city of Foshan in the Guangdong province.
Hundreds reportedly witnessed the sight, which made the Chinese television news. Weather scientists have reportedly explained it away as a Fata Morgana, an optical illusion. MINNEAPOLIS — A new poll asked over 1,000 Americans, in part, “How much trust and confidence do you have in the mass media … when it comes to reporting the news fully, accurately and fairly?” It turns out that less than half of respondents feel they can rely on today’s mainstream news.
Gallup released the results of their latest poll on the trustworthiness of the mainstream media last month, revealing that just four in ten of those surveyed — a random cross-section of adults from all 50 states and the District of Columbia — trust the media. Only 33 percent say they have a “fair amount” of trust in the media, and a mere 7 percent reported having a “great deal” of trust. Earlier this year, Darrel Whitman decided to sound the alarm over the dysfunction he had seen while working for OSHA. He was employed with the Whistleblower Protection Program within OSHA, and investigated claims of illegal activity and safety issues among workers. But after revealing that his department managers closed complaints to alleviate backlogs, altered reports, and failed to protect workers who complained, he was fired. In other words, a worker for a department dedicated to protecting whistleblowers, has been fired for blowing the whistle. An IDF soldier was killed and 11 others were injured when an Arab attacker, armed with a gun and a knife, opened fire at a bus station in the city of Beersheba in the south of the country. An Eritrean man was mistaken for being an assailant and killed by police.
The perpetrator made his way into the station and started shooting and stabbing people inside, in what is one of the most violent attacks since the escalation began, the police said. An Israeli soldier was killed, four police officers were lightly injured and seven civilians received wounds of varying degrees in the attack. The largest media conglomerate today is Walt Disney Company, whose chairman and CEO, Michael Eisner, is a Jew. The Disney Empire, headed by a man described by one media analyst as a “control freak”, includes several television production companies (Walt Disney Television, Touchstone Television, Buena Vista Television), its own cable network with 14 million subscribers, and two video production companies. As for feature films, the Walt Disney Picture Group, headed by Joe Roth (also a Jew), includes Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Caravan Pictures. Disney also owns Miramax Films, run by the Weinstein brothers. When the Disney Company was run by the Gentile Disney family prior to its takeover by Eisner in 1984, it epitomized wholesome, family entertainment. While it still holds the rights to Snow White, under Eisner, the company has expanded into the production of graphic sex and violence. In addition, it has 225 affiliated stations in the United States and is part owner of several European TV companies. Turkey says its warplanes have shot down an unidentified aircraft which intruded into its airspace near the border with Syria.
Media reports quote officials as saying the aircraft was a type of drone.

If you’ve ever seen a drone fly over your property, you’ve probably felt the urge to shoot the damn thing down with extreme prejudice. However, doing so would carry a few risks. You don’t know what that drone is going to crash into after you pull the trigger, and you may find yourself in a small claims court for damaging someone’s toy.
Fortunately, a better solution has arrived. The Battelle Drone Defender is a 10 pound rifle that shoots electromagnetic waves in a 30 degree cone. The waves are tuned to the most commonly used ISM and GPS frequencies, that drones use to communicate with their controllers. Once you pull the trigger, the radio waves safely disable the drone, and it can be guided to the ground from up to 400 meters away.
