Gunwatch – by Dean Weingarten

A Wisconsin woman who works for the Oconomowoc School District is being harassed over the possession of an electrical stun gun in her vehicle’s glove box.  She may be criminally charged.  In most of the country, this would not be an issue.  But Wisconsin is a swing state.   In the 90’s, Democrats dominated, and passed a law that seemed designed to snare legal gun owners, modeled after the Federal gun free school zone act.   The act has been an abysmal failure nationally.   School shooting shot up after the act passed.    The federal law was ruled unconstitutional in 1995, and under heavy lobbying from President Clinton, was passed again, with slight modification, in 1996.   One of those modifications was to put an exemption in the law for people with concealed carry weapons permits.   Continue reading “WI: Woman School Worker, with Permit, Placed on Leave for Stun Gun in Glove Box”

In his important personalliberty.com article, “Islamic Terror and the Great Deception,”Bob Livingston describes how recent US Presidents have continued to wage war against “terrorism,” when in fact their true goals have been quite different:

For example, keeping Middle East nations from nationalizing their precious oil supplies. For example, justifying tighter and tighter control over the lives of US citizens, in order to “protect them from terrorist attacks.”   Continue reading “My response to Bob Livingston’s article, “Islamic Terror and the Great Deception””

“Democracy is cancerous, and bureaus are its cancer… Bureaus cannot live without a host, being true parasitic organisms… A bureau operates on opposite principles of inventing needs to justify its existence… Bureaucracy is wrong as a cancer, a turning away from the human evolutionary direction of infinite potentials and differentiation and independent spontaneous action to the complete parasitism of a virus… the renunciation of life itself, a falling towards inorganic, inflexible machine, towards dead matter… Bureaus die when the structure of the state collapse. They are as helpless and unfit for independent existence as a displaced tapeworm, or a virus that has killed the host.” —William Burroughs, Naked Lunch

The people who play at loving modern democracy are deceiving themselves and everyone around them on purpose.   Continue reading “Political insanity 101”

New scientific data shows that cats, long a symbol of mysticism, are able to see things that are invisible to us. Cats apparently see psychedelic stripes on flowers and patterns on the wings of birds that are completely invisible to the human eye. According to this study, cats, dogs, and some other animals are able to see types of light, like UV light, that we don’t see at all.

“There are plenty of things that reflect UV radiation, which some sensitive animals are able to see, while we are not,” said Ronald Douglas, professor of biology of the City University of London and co-author of the study. “For example, these may be certain patterns on flowers that show where the nectar is, or traces of urine of an animal. Also, reindeer can and see polar bears as the snow reflects UV radiation, while white fur does not.”   Continue reading “New Research Says Cats Can See Things That Are Invisible To Us”

FAYSTON, Vt. (AP) – With New England buried in snow, ski resorts are expecting skiers and riders to flock to the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine for rare powder as the region heads into the mid-winter school break, a prime period resorts rely on.

Marijuana is known as a Schedule I substance in the United States. That means that it is completely worthless, harnesses ‘no medicinal value,’ and is evidently on the same level of heroin, LSD, and ecstasy. But marijuana can actually help treat numerous ailments, which is why the U.S. government has been juggling with its reclassification for decades.

Now, a legal dispute in California is shedding even more light on the issue in Washington, D.C., and could expedite its the plant’s impending reclassification.   Continue reading “Key Marijuana Case may Lead to Nationwide Reclassification”
