Up to 2500 guilders (estates could be bought for that kind of money) were paid for a single Viceroy Tulip bulb at the peak . Before It’s News – by Anthony Migchels

Capitalism is Usury. Its defining belief is ‘return on investment’. This is an extension of the ‘time value’ of money, which is the central tenet of modern economics. Capitalism is unthinkable without banking and banking is institutionalized Usury.

Usury is Plutocracy. Compound interest makes it unavoidable that the very richest own everything in generations.

And this is indeed what happened: Capitalism is one huge global monopoly. All the major banks own each other and most Transnationals plus a huge chunk of land. This juggernaut was built with the plunder of Usury.   Continue reading “Capitalism Is Jewish Usury”

Chicago Police discovered what media outlets have described as a “sniper nest” within shooting distance of a college campus.

WFLD-TV reported officials found “a high-powered semi-automatic rifle” about a block from the campus of Kennedy King college last Thursday. Officers say the nest was then found on top of a garage across from a soccer field near the Kennedy King College.

But the weapon officers recovered at the scene wasn’t a rifle but a fully loaded Mac-10.   Continue reading “‘Sniper Nest’ Found Near College Campus In Chicago — but It’s the Type of Gun Found Close by That May Be More Disturbing”

To help manage his manufactured refugee crisis on the southern border, President Obama has installed a security force that — seriously — refers to themselves as “Brown Shirts”. Furthermore, they’ve threatened doctors and nurses who are treating disease-ridden illegal aliens with imprisonment if they tell the public about what they’ve seen in the Obama concentration refugee camps.

Todd Starnes explains in his detailed summary (“Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest“):

One out of four Americans will develop cancer in their lifetime. More than 350,000 people die every year from cancer in this country. And the sad truth is, it is entirely preventable, due to one simple fact: GREED.

For hundreds of years, British sailors died by the thousands every year from scurvy. Physicians were completely baffled by this dread disease. They believed it was caused by a virus or bacteria of some type. It wasn’t until 1747 that John Lind, a surgeon’s mate in the British Navy found that citrus fruits (lemons, oranges)  could counteract the effects of scurvy, but his recommendations would not be implemented for another forty eight years, thus finally ending the scourge of this disease. It was simply nothing more than the lack of vitamin C.

The turmoil in Iraq has led TV chat shows to trot out an array of hawks, many of whom had been cheerleaders for the 2003 invasion that set up the current crisis. NBC‘s Meet the Press was no exception, bringing on former Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney (6/15/14) and then more recently Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (6/22/14), who warned that the wrong moves now could strengthen Iran.

It’s worth remembering that Netanyahu was wrong about Iraq when it mattered. Jim Lobe (LobeLog9/29/13) has recalled some of Netanyahu’s 2002 congressional testimony, which included assertions like this:   Continue reading “Netanyahu Can Disinform on Iran Just as Well as Iraq”

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Residents of the city of Adak on Alaska’s Aleutian Islands evacuated the town site and gathered on a nearby hill Monday after a magnitude-8.0 earthquake prompted a tsunami warning for part of the island chain.

“We’re seeing water leave our bay, so we do have everybody up on the Bering Hill area, where our primary evacuation center is at,” City Manager Layton Lockett told The Associated Press by telephone as he gathered some last paperwork before heading out himself to join about 300 residents at the center.   Continue reading “Tsunami warning for Aleutians after 8.0 quake”

A young U.S. Marine from New Hampshire and two other colleagues were killed in action by a roadside bomb last week in Afghanistan. The Marine from New Hampshire, Brandon Garabrant, made the news in June 2013 when his high school principal refused to allow him to wear his Marine dress blues at graduation.

Brandon Garabrant’s plan to wear the uniform to the ceremony at ConVal Regional High School in Peterborough hit a snag when the school’s principal told him he must wear the traditional cap and gown.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney stepped up his offensive against President Barack Obama today by accusing the commander-in-chief of underestimating the terrorist threat and not doing enough to confront it.

“We’re in for big trouble in the years ahead because of his refusal to recognize reality and because of his continual emphasis upon getting the U.S. basically to withdraw from that part of the world,” Cheney, a Republican, said of the Middle East and Afghanistan, in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” program.   Continue reading “Cheney Says U.S. Headed for ‘Big Trouble’ on Terrorism”

How much would you pay to live in a 500 square foot apartment, also called closets by some, in NYC?

If your initial reaction was that price is irrelevant because regardless of cost you couldn’t live in 500 square feet of space, then these NYC studio apartments are definitely not for you. Although, to be fair, some are actually as large as 600 or 700 square feet!   Continue reading “Eleven NYC ‘Closets’ Listed for More than $1 Million!”

Federal officials showed up at a resort hotel in Grand Island, NY looking for a place to house some of the illegal immigrant children flooding across our border due to “misperceptions” of Obama administration policies. They could have saved themselves a trip if they had bothered to do a Google search. It turns out the hotel they thought was vacant is actually thriving and booked solid. Oops!

One of the visitors was a Customs and Border Patrol agent and another had a badge that said “DHS” (Department of Homeland Security), Swagler said. Continue reading “Oops! Niaraga Hotel Feds Wanted For Housing Illegal Immigrants Not Vacant After All”

Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki claimed on Sunday that Israel may have staged the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers 10 days ago to deflect international criticism from it, arguing that the Jewish state had no proof that Hamas was behind the abduction.

“They [the Israelis] have no proof that Hamas is behind this operation, as they have failed to provide any proof indicating this,” Maliki told Saudi daily A-Sharq Al-Awsat from Jedda, where he, with  PA President Mahmoud Abbas, was visiting last week.   Continue reading “Israel may have fabricated kidnapping, says Palestinian FM”

Some of the Firearms Destroyed in Santa Fe, NMAmmoLand – by Dean Weingarten

Arizona – -(Ammoland.com)- One of the oddest parts of the political desire to disarm Americans is the push to destroy valuable property for propaganda purposes.   In Santa Fe, New Mexico, tens of thousands of dollars of valuable property was destroyed purely for propaganda.  Even in the old Soviet Union, which was no slouch when it came to disarming its people, the guns that were collected were not wantonly destroyed.   They were cared for, refurbished, sold to renew state resources, or used to defend the state from its enemies.  No doubt many were redistributed to reliable Party members and officials.   Continue reading “Santa Fe Destroys Hundreds of Valuable Guns”

Activist Post – by Ellen Brown

“Finance is the new form of warfare – without the expense of a military overhead and an occupation against unwilling hosts. It is a competition in credit creation to buy foreign resources, real estate, public and privatized infrastructure, bonds and corporate stock ownership. Who needs an army when you can obtain the usual objective (monetary wealth and asset appropriation) simply by financial means?” – Dr. Michael Hudson, Counterpunch, October 2010.

When the US Federal Reserve bought an 80% stake in American International Group (AIG) in September 2008, the unprecedented $85 billion outlay was justified as necessary to bail out the world’s largest insurance company. Today, however, central banks are on a global corporate buying spree not to bail out bankrupt corporations but simply as an investment, to compensate for the loss of bond income due to record-low interest rates. Indeed, central banks have become some of the world’s largest stock investors. Continue reading “Central Banks Are Secretly Buying Up the World’s Corporations”

Propaganda in the United States is propaganda spread by government and media entities within the United States. Propaganda is information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to influence opinions. Propaganda is not only in advertising; it is also in radio, newspaper, posters, books, and anything else that might be sent out to the widespread public.

The first large-scale use of propaganda by the U.S. government came during World War I. The government enlisted the help of citizens and children to help promote war bonds and stamps to help stimulate the economy. To keep the prices of war supplies down, the U.S. government produced posters that encouraged people to reduce waste and grow their own vegetables in “victory gardens.” The public skepticism that was generated by the heavy-handed tactics of the Committee on Public Information would lead the postwar government to officially abandon the use of propaganda.[1]   Continue reading “Propaganda in the United States”

chocolate dripping 263x164 Yet More Evidence Chocolate Could Help with Weight LossNatural Society – by Elizabeth Renter

It seems to be one of the first foods someone swears off when they embark on a weight loss program, but mounting evidence points to chocolate as an ally rather than a villain in the journey for healthy weight loss. The latest study comes from the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, where researcher indicate not only could dark chocolate aid in stopping weight gain, but it can prevent type 2 diabetes as well.

This isn’t the heavily sweetened and diluted-down milk chocolate found in most candies, but rather dark chocolate, rich in flavanols and all of the benefits which is connected to these powerful antioxidants.   Continue reading “Yet More Evidence Chocolate Could Help with Weight Loss”

Britain’s Ministry of Defence said this week it had scrambled Typhoon fighter jets after four separate groups of aircraft were detected in international airspace near the Baltics by NATO air defenses. The British jets intercepted seven Russian military aircraft that, as Reuters reportsdid not file a flight plan and did not use their transponders, making them invisible to civilian air traffic control and a safety hazard to commercial air traffic. “The Russian aircraft were monitored by the RAF Typhoons and escorted on their way,” noted the ministry. This follows an event last Thursday when Latvia said NATO fighters had scrambled a record four times after a total of 16 Russian military planes were spotted close to the country’s air space.   Continue reading “The British jets intercepted seven Russian military aircraft”

Excerpted from WEEKLY STANDARD: The White House is now using the phrase “unlawful migration” instead of the more commonly heard phrase “illegal immigration.” The new term is used in a readout of a phone call President Obama had yesterday with President Peña Nieto of Mexico.

“This afternoon President Obama spoke by phone with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to discuss a regional strategy to address the influx of unaccompanied children coming from Central America, through Mexico, to the U.S.-Mexico border. The President noted that Vice President Biden will attend a regional meeting in Guatemala on Friday, June 20, to discuss the urgent humanitarian issue, and welcomed the opportunity to work in close cooperation with Mexico to develop concrete proposals to address the root causes of unlawful migration from Central America. He also discussed the United States and Mexico’s shared responsibility for promoting security in both countries and in the region,” the readout states.   Continue reading “INSANITY: Obama Regime No Longer Using The Phrase ‘Illegal Immigration, Replaces It With ‘Unlawful Migration’”
