Washington’s Blog – by David Swanson

Every juvenile prison must be immediately closed and all of its prisoners freed.

Oh. Oh. Oh! That sounds too drastic and simplistic and revolutionary.

We talk about being reformist or revolutionary as if it were a personality choice. Yet we also talk about being scientific, about being reality-based. Unlike reactionary climate-denying racist creationists we claim, most of us, to recognize such phenomena as climate change and to act on them (leave aside for the moment whether we’re really acting appropriately on that one).   Continue reading “Juvenile Prison: $5 Billion for Child Abuse”

The Christian baker who was ordered on Friday by the Colorado Civil Rights Commission to bake wedding cakes for same-sex ceremonies has responded by eliminating wedding cakes entirely. Here’s the story from CBS in Denver:

Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  In response to the immediate push for more gun control following three stabbing deaths and three shooting deaths in Santa Barbara, two Democrats in California’s State Assembly are considering “gun violence restraining orders” that could leed to bans on gun ownership for persons convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

According to The Christian Science Monitor, on May 27 2014 assembly members Nancy Skinner (D-15) and Das Williams (D-37) “announced their plans” to introduce a new mental health-based gun control measure called a “gun violence restraining order.”    Continue reading “CA Dems Announce ‘Gun Violence Restraining Order,’ Could Include DUI Convictions”

In my recent article, Medicaid Kills, the poor health care outcomes involving Medicaid covered individuals along with waste and mismanagement in the Georgia Medicaid program were highlighted as examples of why Medicaid expansion under Obamacare is not a solution to addressing the health care needs of the uninsured or under-insured. The article indicated that, along with Georgia, other state Medicaid programs are filled with the same problems riddling this federally-funded “state” health insurance coverage program. In fact, it was reported by the Daily Caller that the State of Illinois paid out $12 million in Medicaid benefits over the past two years on covered individuals who were, in fact, dead.   Continue reading “Illinois Pays out $12 Million in Bogus Medicaid Benefits – Wait Till the Full Force of Obamacare is Implemented”

Soros Admits Responsibility for Coup and Mass Murder in UkraineInfowars – by Kurt Nimmo

George Soros told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria over the weekend he is responsible for establishing a foundation in Ukraine that ultimately contributed to the overthrow of the country’s elected leader and the installation of a junta handpicked by the State Department.

“First on Ukraine, one of the things that many people recognized about you was that you during the revolutions of 1989 funded a lot of dissident activities, civil society groups in eastern Europe and Poland, the Czech Republic. Are you doing similar things in Ukraine?” Zakaria asked Soros.   Continue reading “Soros Admits Responsibility for Coup and Mass Murder in Ukraine”

In a picturesque open-air picnic area with a creek running through it, hundreds gathered in one of the most memorably political events in Georgia’s history. Following prayer, the singing of the national anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, Governor Nathan Deal signed into law, effective July 1, the most liberal gun carry legislation in the country. The popular Safe Carry Protection Act of 2014, known by anti-Second Amendment adversaries as the “Guns Everywhere Law,” passed with by-partisan support in the State House 112-58 and in the State Senate 37-18.   Continue reading ““Guns Everywhere Law,” now Signed”

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is weighing in on the rampage in Santa Barbara, California, calling both for stricter gun laws and for background checks for people with mental illness.

“The real problem here is we have too many guns in the hands of criminals, people with psychiatric problems — as this guy obviously did — and minors,” Bloomberg said on “Meet The Press” on Sunday. “And we’ve got to find some ways to stop that.   Continue reading “Bloomberg calls for stricter gun laws in wake of Isla Vista rampage”

The People’s Cube – by Opiate of the People [Satire]

After the recent revelation of long wait times and delays in care at VA hospitals shocked the nation, congressional Democrats from both houses and independent journalists undertook their own investigation to determine the cause of the problem.

What they found was shocking: evidence of a coordinated conspiracy among numerous ill veterans to avoid seeking medical care and blame their subsequent problems on President Obama. Continue reading “Facts suggest vets delayed own tests to make Obama look bad”

CIA, FBI agents dying for illegal junta in UkraineVoice of Russia

The US/CIA/NATO have stepped up their military operations and continue to actively wage their secret war in Ukraine against the Ukrainian people in an extremely dangerous poorly planned operation that is failing and carries with it the real threat of sparking off a full-fledged war, if not World War III, against an unwilling Russian Federation which continues to attempt to deal with the aggressive-in-your-face-threat to its security through diplomacy and peaceful means. The recent capture and killing of 25 CIA officers in Ukraine only shows the desperation of the US effort and the complete disregard for not only international law and the people of Ukraine but also for the lives of their own CIA personnel.

It is working! The ground swell against Barack Obama and Eric Holder’s anti-Second Amendment policies has forced Congress to intervene.

Operation Choke Point is the DOJ’s program of intimidating banks and credit agencies and “compelling” them to drop “high-risk” and “disreputable” merchants. As far as Eric Holder’s DOJ is concerned, a high-risk business would be an escort service, porn website, marijuana dispensary, gambling website… or a gun store (among other things). That’s the company that Barack Obama and Eric Holder lump your Second Amendment rights with!   Continue reading “House Smacks Down Eric Holder’s Anti-Gun Program!”

An old, blind Marine Gunnery Sergeant wanders into a lesbian biker bar by mistake… He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, ‘Hey, you wanna hear an Obama joke?’ The bar immediately falls absolutely silent.

In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, ‘Before you tell that joke, Marine…, I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:   Continue reading “A Blind Marine Walks into a Lesbian Bar”
