DAVOS, Jan 24 (Reuters) – The Russian central bank will continue to buy gold as it seeks to diversify its foreign reserves away from paper assets it views as risky, First Deputy Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev said on Thursday.

The Bank of Russia has built up the world’s fourth-largest foreign reserves, worth $530 billion, by buying oil export dollars to keep the rouble competitive. The hoard includes two rainy-day budget funds that guard against fiscal shocks. Continue reading “Russia c.bank to keep buying gold – Ulyukayev”

Unconfirmed reports floating around multiple outlets have a major sabotage bombing taking place at Iran’s Fordow enrichment facility, the underground uranium enrichment site outside of Qom.

The stories say that the bombing happened Monday morning, and incredibly hasn’t been even touched on by any more reputable outlets, let alone the Iranian press, nearly a week later. 240 workers are said to be trapped, and Iran reportedly closed several roads, including the bridge between Qom and Tehran. None of these reports are confirmed either. Continue reading “Unconfirmed Reports of Major Sabotage Attack on Iran’s Fordow Facility”

Excerpt: Holocaust Denier

It’s always worth defining your terms. Not that it does that much good – the inquisitors will see what they want to see and claim what they want to claim. But for the record here’s what I do and do not question. First, what I do not question:

I do not question that the National Socialist regime brutally persecuted Jews.

I do not question that Jews in Germany were discriminated against, violently assaulted, dispossessed, imprisoned in camps and expelled and that many Jews died as a result. Continue reading “Why I Call Myself a Holocaust Denier by Paul Eisen”

The American people rejected a full-out amnesty in 2007.  Eight U.S. Senators conspired in secret meetings in the last week to bring back the exact same amnesty for an estimated 20 million illegal aliens now working and living in the United States.

What does it mean?  How will it affect America’s poor and the taxpayer?  What will be the final outcome? Continue reading “What Americans Can Expect From Forthcoming Immigration Amnesty”

Today our nation is facing perhaps the most critical situation it has faced since 1776 when our nation declared our Independence! Our very Constitution is being attacked by a man who has taken an oath of office to, “…preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States,” and also by those who have taken an oath to “support and defend” that same Constitution. Yet, some elected representatives find it in their best interest to refuse to honor their Oath of Office. We, the people, had sent these senators and representatives to their office with the idea that they would be trusted with our Constitution. But instead, they betray the very principles of their office. Some lay claim that this is an act of treason. With this in mind, let us look at just what treason is defined as. The Pentagon will expand its cyber security force from 900 personnel to a massive 4,900 troops and civilians over the next few years following numerous concerns over the dangerously vulnerable state of their defenses, according to US officials.

The Washington Post exposed details of the plan for the wide-scale expansion late on Sunday.  An official confirmed that plans for an extremely significant expansion were underway, but remained ambiguous about the precise figure. The latest round of rubbish flooding our in boxes is an ignorant rant claiming that the Dick Act of 1902 (which respects our Right to be armed) can’t be repealed because to do so would “violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws”.

Who dreams up this stuff? Does anyone check it out before they spread it around?

Of course we have the God-given right to keep and bear arms, to self-defense, etc., etc. Our Declaration of Independence (2nd para) recognizes that our Rights come from God and are unalienable. A Virginia man who wrote an abbreviated version of the Fourth Amendment on his body and stripped to his shorts at an airport security screening area won a trial Friday in his lawsuit seeking $250,000 in damages for being detained on a disorderly conduct charge.

Aaron Tobey claimed in a civil rights lawsuit(.pdf) that in 2010 he was handcuffed and held for about 90 minutes by the Transportation Security Administration at the Richmond International Airport after he began removing his clothing to display on his chest a magic-marker protest of airport security measures.

“Amendment 4: The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated,” his chest and gut read. Continue reading “Man With 4th Amendment Written on Chest Wins Trial Over Airport Arrest”

On the afternoon of October 2, 2006 my close friend of 20 years James Woodson was standing in the courtyard of his apartment building talking to his wife of 6 months, Pena. He had just gotten home from work, had gotten his mail and was lingering by the pool which was surrounded on three sides by a two story apartment building with the fourth side being open to the street. Fifteen witnesses in the apartment and on the street heard the gunshot and smelled gun smoke. Woodson fell instantly and was unresponsive, though in the panic the .38 caliber bullet wound in the left center of his back went unnoticed until he arrived at the hospital 20 minutes later, where he was pronounced dead. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday accused Iran of planning another “Holocaust,” as the world marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

“Holocaust denial is continued energetically by a central state in the world,” he told his cabinet in Jerusalem.

“Not by groups. Not by single individuals. Not by marginal elements. But by Iran, whose leaders on a daily basis and at the United Nations and any other platform deny that the Holocaust occurred, while at the same time they prepare what they believe will be an additional Holocaust: The destruction of the Jewish state.” Continue reading “Netanyahu: Iran preparing for another Holocaust”

Homeland Security Chief Napolitano Discusses Newtown ShootingsThe Blaze – by Jason Howerton

The Department of Homeland Security is seeking to acquire 7,000 5.56x45mm NATO “personal defense weapons” (PDW) — also known as “assault weapons” when owned by civilians. The solicitation, originally posted on June 7, 2012, comes to light as the Obama administration is calling for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and high capacity magazines.

Citing a General Service Administration (GSA) request for proposal (RFP), Steve McGough of RadioViceOnline.com reports that DHS is asking for the 7,000 “select-fire” firearms because they are “suitable for personal defense use in close quarters.” The term select-fire means the weapon can be both semi-automatic and automatic. Civilians are prohibited from obtaining these kinds of weapons. Continue reading “If ‘Assault Weapons’ are bad, Why does DHS want to buy 7000 of them for ‘Personal Defense’”

As the gun control debate continues, Kevin D. Bradford, an associate professional specialist in marketing at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, says the focus should be on those who distribute guns, not solely on those who buy them.

Bradford and a team of researchers conducted a first-of-its-kind study on the ways guns move from legal channels into the hands of criminals. In “Counter-marketing in the Courts: The Case of Marketing Channels and Firearms Diversion, published in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, they examined 28 thousand pages of court documents, looking at what kinds of guns were used in violent crimes and what kinds of safeguards specific gun manufacturers had in place for distribution. Despite the disgrace in the White House, this is still America. In a wide-ranging Fox News poll of 1,000 registered voters, 52% reported having a gun in the home. When asked, “If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?” 65% of them said they would defy the law.

True, there are tens of millions of people who have rotted to the point of voting for Obama even after four years of watching his extreme unsuitability for the office on display. But there are also tens of millions who are still Americans, and who won’t go down quietly once awakened. Continue reading “Most Gun Owners Would Defy Confiscation”
