SHTF Plan – by Mac Slavo

For those who store food, preparedness supplies, gold, guns and ammunition, one of the most immediate concerns is keeping your investment safe. Naturally, given our reasons for stockpiling to begin with, the last place we want to be storing anything is with a “trusted” third party. Thus, things like safe deposit boxes are out, as are storage facilities unless you are using them as a secondary backup. Burying a cache on your property or in the wilderness is great, but there are certain things you’ll want to keep close by, especially as it relates to self defense or emergency cash.   Continue reading “Keep It On The Down Low: Top 5 Ways To Hide Your Guns and Gear”

Fox News host Sean HannityThe Anti-Media – by Carey Wedler

In an unsurprising move, Sean Hannity declared this week that if people run from police, they have played a part in their own murder. In a radio rant, Hannity discussed Freddie Gray, whose murky death in police custody sparked large scale protests and a smaller degree of riots.

His short monologue exemplifies how the Fox propaganda machine operates. He started by saying,   Continue reading “Sean Hannity: It’s OK for Cops to Shoot You in the Back if You Run From Them”

In a stunning statement given to the Baltimore Sun, hard left Obama ally Rev. Al Sharpton has called for the federal government to takeover all police departments in the country.

Calling for the Justice Department to “take over policing in this country,” Sharpton announced a plan to march on Washington in order to push for a government takeover of the police. In an open admission of a plan to sidestep the Constitution, Sharpton mentioned the police takeover could only happen if supporters fight against states rights.   Continue reading “Rev. Giant electromagnet arrives at Brookhaven Lab to map melted matterPhys Org

Why did the 40,000-pound superconducting magnet cross the country? The full answer to this twist on the old joke is complicated, but here’s the short version: to unlock the secrets of the atom.

Pristine, particle-tracking magnets are rare enough to count on two hands. Most of these one-of-a-kind engineering feats sit at the heart of some of the most ambitious physics experiments in history and were built specifically to discover new facets of matter.   Continue reading “Giant electromagnet arrives at Brookhaven Lab to map melted matter”

Over the course of the oil price slump we’ve documented the far-reaching effects of falling crude. Leaving aside the capital markets for now, the downturn has rippled through oil boom towns both in the US and Canada. Take Fort McMurray (in oil-rich Alberta) for instance, where home sales fell 66% in February or Sidney, Montana where the collapse in oil revenue has left law enforcement and schools strapped for cashin the face of rising crime and crumbling infrastructure. Then there is of course Texas which, until recently, was America’s job creation engine but which shed a recession-like 24,500 non-farm jobs in March alone.    Continue reading “Saudis, Russians No Longer Buying Gold In Dubai As Oil Slump Curbs Precious Metals Shopping”

About a month ago, I illuminated some old expressions that have become obsolete because of the inexorable march of technology. These phrases included “Don’t touch that dial,” “Carbon copy,” “You sound like a broken record” and “Hung out to dry.” A bevy of readers have asked me to shine light on more faded words and expressions, and I am happy to oblige:   Continue reading “Old Words And Phrases Remind Us Of The Way We Word”

A bipartisan bill, designed to rein in the bulk collection of the private communications of American citizens, was introduced Tuesday by members of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, ahead of an upcoming expiration date for key Patriot Act provisions that have given legal authority to some of the most controversial domestic surveillance practices revealed over the last two years.

With a June 1 expiration for Sections 206 and 215 of the USA Patriot Act, initially rammed through Congress in the wake of the attacks of September 11, 2001, the revisions contained in the new reform bill—submitted as the USA Freedom Act of 2015 (pdf)—would reauthorize certain aspects of that law while seeking to reform ways the government uses its spying capabilities. A similar reform bill was introduced last year in Congress, but ultimately did not gain enough support to pass.   Continue reading “Patriot Act Re-authorization Debate Heats Up In Congress With ‘USA Freedom Act’”

Questions They Don't Want Us To Ask - Public DomainEconomic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

Why did the Baltimore riots seem like they were perfectly staged to be a television event?  Images of police vehicles burning made for great television all over the planet, but why were there abandoned police vehicles sitting right in the middle of the riot zones without any police officers around them in the first place?  Why was the decision made ahead of time to set a curfew for Tuesday night and not for Monday night?  And why are Baltimore police officers claiming that they were ordered to “stand down” and not intervene as dozens of shops, businesses and homes went up in flames?  Yes, the anger over the death of Freddie Gray is very real.  Police brutality has been a major problem in Baltimore and much of the rest of the nation for many years.  But could it be possible that the anger that the people of Baltimore are feeling is being channeled and manipulated for other purposes?  The following are 12 unanswered questions about the Baltimore riots that they don’t want us to ask…   Continue reading “12 Unanswered Questions About The Baltimore Riots That They Don’t Want Us To Ask”

Lucia Morejon cannot escape the haunting memory she has of the final desperate words spoken to her by her teenage son after he was shot by police: “Mommy, Mommy, please come, please come.”

Hector Morejon, the youngest of five children, made that plea for help after he was shot by a Long Beach, California, police officer, who allegedly thought the 19-year-old was in possession of a firearm Thursday afternoon.   Continue reading “Hector Morejon, Unarmed Teen Shot, Killed By Police, Cried For His Mother: ‘Mommy, Mommy, Please Come’”
