Surely America can do better than Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush!

With Jeb Bush announcing that he is to ‘actively explore the possibility of running for President’ and Hillary Clinton considered the odds-on favourite to get the Democratic nomination should she decide to run, there is a prospect that, for the second time in 24 years, a Bush may be battling a Clinton for the White House.

Considering that the country got its start by shaking off a monarch, America has had a peculiarly strong attraction to political dynasties.   Continue reading “Artist Captures EXACTLY What Jeb Bush Versus Hillary Clinton For President Looks Like To Most Americans”

The Royal Air Force’s next generation F-35 fighter jet could “shut down” in mid-flight if its fuel overheats, US test pilots have discovered. The fault is the latest in a string of embarrassments for military chiefs and manufacturer Lockheed Martin.

US Air Force engineers encountered the problem while testing the aircraft at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona last week.   Continue reading “Hot Shots? RAF’s £150 mn fighter jet could ‘shut down’ in midair due to overheating fault”

More than two decades after the Berlin Wall fell, it appears that the United States and Russia are engaging in the same sort of proxy wars that were so common during the Cold War. Everywhere that Western and Russian spheres of influence meet there is the potential for conflict, and the two aging superpowers have shown their willingness fight through their neighbors. However, this game of chess has taken on a whole new dimension that is radically different than what we saw during the Cold War.   Continue reading “The U.S. Government Is Practically Begging for Global War”

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a rising Democratic star, fueled speculation Monday that she might run for president in 2016.

While the freshman senator said “I am not running for president” four times during an interview with NPR’s “Morning Edition,” political insiders argue that Warren’s use of the present tense leaves open the possibility she might launch a 2016 campaign.   Continue reading “Warren’s present-tense denial adds to speculation she will run in 2016”

WASHINGTON — A scathing report released by the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday found that the Central Intelligence Agency routinely misled the White House and Congress about the information it obtained from the detention and interrogation of terrorism suspects, and that its methods were more brutal than the C.I.A. acknowledged either to Bush administration officials or to the public.

The long-delayed report, which took five years to produce and is based on more than six million internal agency documents, is a sweeping indictment of the C.I.A.’s operation and oversight of a program carried out by agency officials and contractors in secret prisons around the world in the years after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. It also provides a macabre accounting of some of the grisliest techniques that the C.I.A. used to torture and imprison terrorism suspects.   Continue reading “Senate Torture Report Condemns C.I.A. Interrogation Program”

Conservatives say that Republican leaders, including House Speaker John Boehner and incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, will be “complicit” in President Barack Obama’s planned executive amnesty if they don’t pull out all the stops to block him.

They warn that chaos is around the corner if that’s how it goes down, even though they’d much rather have Republican leaders fight the president alongside them.   Continue reading “‘Open Rebellion’: Chaos If Republicans Don’t Withhold Funding For Obama Executive Amnesty”

AUSTIN, November 14, 2014– A Texas legislator has introduced a new bill to derail the enforcement of virtually all federal gun control measures within the state’s borders.

“With this bill, Texas could help lead the country forward,” said Scott Landreth, campaign lead for ShallNot.org, a project of the Tenth Amendment Center that advocates for states to protect their citizens from federal overreach. “Passage would have serious impact on the federal government’s ability to carry out its unconstitutional gun control measures already on the books.”   Continue reading “Texas: New bill declares all federal gun control invalid and non enforceable”

“This conclusion my friends is crystal clear. Namely that the propaganda machine is already at work . The press, the cinema, well known citizens, are either wittingly or unwittingly conditioning America for war. The invasion is upon you! Racial and religious psychology is being employed to line up leaders. Catch words are being used as bait to deceive the masses. Once more therefore I restate, what are we Americans planning to do about this foreign invasion? An invasion not of soldiers armed with machine guns – but of professional propagandists to stand behind the remarks at the dinner table or assault you from the silver screen or the columms of a newspaper as they explode the bombs of poison gas over the countryside of our country… Continue reading “Catholic Priest Exposes War Agenda in 1939: “The propagandists are at work in government, in journalism, and in the cinemas.
