Americans Bought More Guns Than Flat Screen TV’s On Black Friday

Gun 7Market Daily News – by Adan Salazar

Shoppers participating in the post-Thanksgiving consumerist phenomenon known as Black Friday typically tend to purchase useless material possessions they don’t really need.

This past holiday, however, many Americans demonstrated that they’re more interested in their Second Amendment rights than flat screen TVs or cheap DVDs.

According to the FBI, last Friday saw a staggering 175,000 background checks processed via the agency’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, a number the agency says made Friday the second highest gun purchase day ever.

Black Friday gun sales this year were only exceeded by sales conducted on December 21, 2012, according to CNN, when President Obama threatened to use executive orders to restrict gun rights following the Sandy Hook school shooting.

“Traditionally, Black Friday is one of our busiest days for transaction volume,” said FBI spokesman Stephen Fischer, adding that the background check system was “averaging three checks per second.”

The FBI was reportedly so inundated by background check requests that they contracted out call center labor and had employees work extra shifts, some working 17-hour workdays.

“The challenge is to have staff keep up with this volume,” Fischer said. “We do that by limiting personal leave, asking employees to work extra shifts and reutilizing former … employees to serve in NICS during this busy period.”

The workload was apparently so taxing that the agency was unable to complete around 3,000 checks, reports Mediaite.

  1. If true…and I emphasize the if…this is the best news I’ve heard in years. Literally, I mean years.
    Why? Because, it represents hope.
Screw the “usual suspects” who want to “buy” gun confiscation.
Maybe there really are more people who know what’s going on than I am aware exist in the USA. 🙂

    1. Maybe the sheeple all got sick of buying TVs as a Christmas gift. After all, every year, it’s always a big screen TV. How many big screen TVs does one need? Maybe they just wanted to buy a big gun for a change. 😉

    2. I hope I don’t sound insulting, Captain, but the massive gun purchases have been going on for years.

“Maybe there really are more people who know what’s going on than I am aware exist in the USA.”

And yes, there are millions more that know what’s going on than any of us are aware of. We have a very silent, and hidden army, because we have a very intrusive spying system in place. Very few of Americans are willing to say anything publicly, because they’re often met with the ridicule of those who remain brainwashed by the TV, but they’re out there, and they’re waiting for the ball to drop.

  2. yeah, we got the guns, AND the numbers, but do we have the will to use them? Are Americans angry enough, or is more suffering required?

Education is the other tool (other than suffering) that turns people to our side. Not everyone has to learn the hard way, and most Americans would be locked and loaded if they only knew the whole truth of our present situation, and the history that’s been kept hidden from them.

Are they buying up every gun in sight because they’re angry, or because they fear more gun control laws?
