Kiev does not care about civilians in eastern Ukraine, and people have to flee their homes amid daily bombings, Ukrainian refugees told RT at a temporary camp in Russia’s Rostov. It comes amid Kiev’s “lies” about humanitarian corridors, they said.
Thousands of eastern Ukrainians are flowing into Russia amid the ongoing Kiev military operation, in which the cities occupied by anti-government activists are being shelled and bombardedwith heavy artillery and incendiary bombs. CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The Jackson County sheriff says two deputies were serving an eviction order on an Ashland man Tuesday when he came out of his bedroom pointing a shotgun at them, and they shot and killed him.
Sheriff Mike Winters told a press conference Wednesday that both deputies fired and 73-year-old Earl Carlson Harris was hit at least twice.

FORT WORTH — The family of a man who died after being shocked with a Taser says police video shows the man did not resist.
The raid by Fort Worth police in May 2013 was captured by helmet cameras worn by officers. Lawyers for the family of Jermaine Darden obtained the video and released it to News 8.

THE federal government has seized a record $360 million from household bank accounts that have been dormant for just three years, prompting outrage in some quarters amid complaints that pensioners and retirees have lost deposits.
Figures from the Australian Security and Investments Commission (ASIC) show almost $360 million was collected from 80,000 inactive accounts in the year to May under new rules introduced by Labor. The new rules lowered the threshold at which the government is allowed to snatch funds from accounts that remain idle from seven years to three years. Venezuelan consumer prices rose at the second-fastest pace in at least six years in April and May as tighter dollar supplies to companies crimped output, while street protests continued.
Prices rose 5.7 percent in both April and May, up from 4.1 percent in March, the central bank said yesterday in a statement posted on its website. Producer Arnon Milchan is a citizen of Israel and has close ties to the leadership of the Israel Labor party. FBI documents also suggest he is a foreign spy who illegally exported US nuclear tech. Arnon Milchan owned a trading company that was allegedly used to smuggle high tech triggering devices for nuclear weapons to Israel. HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — City officials say they don’t suspect foul play in the death of a 33-year-old off-duty Henderson police officer found dead at home.
Clark County coroner’s officials say David John Sigmund was found dead in his home on Monday. A cause and manner of death have not yet been released.

The economic crisis in Europe and North America led to more than 10,000 extra suicides, according to figures from UK researchers.
A study, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, showed “suicides have risen markedly”.
