* In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. This doesn’t include the 30 million ‘Uncle Joe’ starved to death in the Ukraine.

* In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Rep. Lee Zeldin issued a statement today blasting an “absolutely disgusting and shameful” Obama administration for not only failing to stand with our ally in Israel, but for actually accusing them of terrorist acts.

Compulsory Adult Vaccines in California…Just the beginning!

Gov. Jerry Brown has signed SB 792 a bill to further strengthen California’s mandatory vaccine laws by requiring that adults who work or volunteer at day care centers be vaccinated. A violation of the act is a crime.

The Democratic governor announced Sunday that he approved a bill requiring day care centers and day care homes to maintain immunization records proving their workers and volunteers have been vaccinated for the flu, pertussis and the measles.   Continue reading “Compulsory Adult Vaccination bill signed into Law”

Management of public lands has made headlines since the attempted gather of Cliven Bundy’s cattle a year and a half ago. For more than 20 years, his cows have been grazing illegally on more than 300,000 acres of public land owned by all Americans. That land includes Gold Butte, a beautiful area of the desert between Lake Mead and Mesquite.

An Israeli man stabbed a fellow Jew by mistake, in apparent revenge for the recent spate of Palestinian-on-Israeli stabbings. The specter of increasingly violent nationalism has steadily been rising on both sides.

The stabbing occurred in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Ata on Tuesday, according to Haaretz. The attacker allegedly thought his victim was an Arab. When it became clear what had transpired, he sought to flee the scene. Following last month’s milestone decision to keep the beleaguered greater sage grouse off the endangered species listing, federal agencies in Utah have temporarily closed more than 233,000 acres of public and national forest lands for up to two years while they determine if the lands’ importance to the ground-based bird habitat is such that they should be made off limits for a longer period.

The temporary closure would not affect existing permitted activities on the lands with the shutdown only applying prospectively, the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) said.
