Jerusalem (AFP) – US presidential contender Mike Huckabee said during a visit to Jerusalem on Wednesday that he did not consider the West Bank occupied by Israel — a stand sharply at odds with much of the world.

The gun-loving Oath Keepers plan to arm 50 black demonstrators with AR-15 rifles in Ferguson, Missouri, and basically dare police to shoot them.
The leader of the group’s local chapter told Red Dirt Report that the event would likely be held before the end of this month to protest an order last week by law enforcement officers to Oath Keepers to put away their rifles while in city limits. State law-enforcement agents in South Carolina have declined a local paper’s request to release videos capturing an officer’s fatal shooting of a teenager.
The rejection of The Post and Courier’s demand under the Freedom of Information Act comes as a witness claims he saw a Seneca Police officer put something underneath the body of Zachary Hammond, 19, after the shooting. A propaganda event in Paris on Thursday was supposed to showcase Tel Aviv as a beacon of fun and tolerance.
Instead, “Tel Aviv sur Seine” (Tel Aviv on the Seine) turned into more of a real life taste of Israeli military occupation and a public relations disaster for its organizers.
The party at a simulated beach on the banks of the River Seine was supposed to celebrate “Israeli nightlife” and carefree living. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now in possession of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails from her tenure as Secretary of State.

Israel has released all suspects held in connection with the firebombing of a Palestinian home that killed an 18-month-old baby and his father.
An Israeli official said on Monday that all the suspects arrested on Sunday were freed, but did not provide further details, including their number.

Israeli settlers have conducted yet another arson attack against Palestinian property by setting ablaze hundreds of acres of open land in the occupied West Bank, officials say.
Local sources and senior Palestinian officials confirmed on Sunday that the arson attack was carried out near the village of Burin, located south of Nablus.

A video apparently showing the torture of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s son during interrogation in prison has been condemned by both HRW, and his legal representative, who told RT that the Gaddafi name alone is enough to guarantee “maximum sentence and maximum mistreatment.”
The undated video, recently released by Arabic Clear News outlet shows a group of men ill-treating several inmates and interrogating a captive who strongly resembles al-Saadi Gaddafi, the third son of the deceased Colonel who ruled the country for almost 40 years. Suburbanization and industrial deforestation are decimating the world’s trees, and there are only 2 intact giant forests remaining on planet earth. However, across the globe, some other phenomenon is causing standing trees to wither and die in record numbers, and at present, the problem is receiving considerable mention in California, where millions of trees are dying during the worst drought the region has seen in perhaps some 1200 years.
