Okay, not to upset the apple cart, but… several years ago I remember listening to an Internet talk show (can’t remember where) on controversial album cover art. This cover by Blind Faith was deemed pedophilia since it showed a naked, pubescent girl holding an obvious phallic symbol. The show covered so many albums that had hidden messages on all kinds of aberrations and perversions. It all seemed like intentional code-speak, like in the film “Riddles In Stone,” where builders encode messages and images in the architecture and it is their way of covertly speaking with each other.
I know innocent and natural nakedness has its place in art, but here I agree that this album cover was off the mark, as were many others. Here’s one other that took a grilling:
