A San Diego police officer can be seen punching a U.S. Marine Corps member who was laying on the ground, then saying he did so out of self-defense, KGTV-TV reported.

“Sir, I’m the one that punched you in the face,” the officer, identified as Sgt. Patrick Vinson, tells Lance Cpl. Robert Reginato. “The reason I hit you in the face is because you attacked us.”

The footage, taken from an unidentified officer’s body camera, was released by Reginato’s attorney, Paul Neuharth. Reginato and Cpl. Gabriel Talley, who is also represented by Neuharth, are accused of attacking officers early on Sept. 21 outside a local bar. Seconds before Vinson identifies himself, another officer can be heard telling him, “Sarge, Sarge, Sarge. No punching, Sarge!”

But Neuharth said it was police who started the brawl, and that his two clients were trying to help a man left unconscious after a separate fight when the officers pushed them away.

“This Marine had tears running down his cheeks in my office when he first came in,” Neuharth told KGTV. “He said, ‘You know, my friend just got back from Afghanistan, we’re celebrating my 21st birthday, how could something like this happen to me in the United States?’”

Police reports said the two Marines were “hitting, grabbing, pushing, struggling and violently resisting” the officers during the incident.

KNSD-TV reported that, according to investigators, Reginato “forcibly grabbed an officer to free his friend from police. When an officer attempted to arrest him, he resisted. The only way he was taken into custody is after the sergeant punched him several times in the face.”

The San Diego District Attorney’s office said in a statement that it intends to move forward with the case.

“We can only file criminal charges when we believe we can prove them beyond a reasonable doubt, as we do in this case,” the statement read.

  1. Yeh this looks like Judo to me which I trained in at 90 lbs when I was 16. Basic. It’s still kind of a sport type of exercise. The reason is, is, once you get someone airborne, if you wish, you can maneuver them into a wall or chair or table etc. and then finish the job. I’ve never been in the military so I can speak to that. But I’ve been in fighting arts since age of 5. My older brother who was 81st airborne beat on me many times after he got out of the military. That stopped yrs later when we were sparring and I open palm slapped him. After that, he never wanted to play with me again. Some people like bullying others, even their brothers. I’m 60 lbs. lighter and 4 inches shorter. Part of the problem is that many people still think of ‘the police’ as something they are not. Another part of the problem is that our military today is trained by something that has alot of dysfunctional training. When and how did the police forces ever get where they have arrived at, as being more trained than our Military Forces? Or more powerful? Well, the police are armored up, they have lethal weapons which they are given to use, including the lesser of them all (not really), their bodies, fists, boots. I really don’t care who it is who I watch being pummeled and or bludgeoned to death by these ‘cops’ who then demonstratively lie in court about the circumstances. For what ever reason, I am the only male in a long line that never was inducted in my family. I can tell you that I through choice never joined up. Never the less. I have the highest of respect for those who go through this ordeal, because it’s not for naught. Our Military men, from whatever branch of service were trained as a whole to be among the most able hand to hand fighting forces in the world. Their is a very prevalent cognizant dissonance going on here.I’d like to say that any Marine could kick 5 police asses at any time. But that’s not reality. What we have here is a fact simile of what the Jews are doing to the Palestinians. The cops are the Jews and the Marines and anybody else are the Palestinians. Non people. Animals.. The cops have guns, and batons, and mace, and tasers. They attack in numbers. One against 5 to ten who all want to get their licks in. This thing is going to war! I feel sorry for these vets but, wake up, the checkists are the police and they aren’t the good guys. So, either don’t go there or be well armed in numbers so you can put them down like the mad dogs they are. This is tyranny. And, you can’t talk to these type of people. The only righteous smart response to their tyrannical march to exterminate and injure and molest and steal is YOU FIRST. Let’s do our best to see that this happens. I’ll just end my ti raid here by saying that if I had the honor of having my hands on each of these demonic beings throats, I would choke out their lives so that they could never hurt another ones life until, I had no strength left to do so.And, then, I would hope that there was someone behind me to eradicate the rest of all of them. They, the NWO, look at all of this as a game since they are insulated in many ways, BUT, we live on a ball, a globe, and!!!!!! when the time comes, and it is coming, I’ll say this. We know who you are, and we know how to find you! We will have peace at your demise.
