Child’s play: 13 & 8 y/o siblings lead Detroit police on car chase

A 13-year-old boy, along with his 8-year-old sister, led Detroit police on a car chase after the car was spotted driving erratically, a newly released dashcam video shows.

Macomb County Police department received calls that there was a car driving dangerously around Clinton Township on Saturday. Officers noticed the car stopped at traffic lights along Metro Parkway and signaled for the driver to pull over. He duly obliged.

As a police officer approaches the parked car, not knowing there was a teenager behind the wheel, it speeds off and police follow.

Video footage of the incident shows the car weaving in and out of traffic before it appears to lose control, eventually crossing to the other side of the road, where the car crashes.

Both children then flee the car in an attempt to escape the authorities.

“One thing, you know, you learn in this business is you never can say that you’ve seen it all; and this is just another one of those incidents that you wouldn’t believe,” Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham told CBS Detroit.

Wickersham says police learned the children had been staying with their father and his girlfriend and when they fell asleep, the sibling’s took their girlfriend’s father’s car for a joyride.

The 13-year-old was taken into custody and is being held at the Macomb Juvenile Justice Center facing charges of unlawful driving away, fleeing and eluding, and resisting and obstructing a police officer, while his 8-year-old sister was turned over to her mother, the Detroit Free Press reports.

  1. “Both children then flee the car in an attempt to escape the authorities.”

The pigs didn’t “fear for their (miserable, worthless) lives” at that point, and cut them down in a hail of gunfire???

They’re lucky to be alive, considering.
