Cop Sneaks Up Behind Woman and Knocks Her Unconscious — Says She’s Faking It

Cape Coral, FL – Instead of making his presence known or identifying himself as an officer, a cowardly cop snuck up behind a woman arguing with her boyfriend and violently threw her to the ground, knocking her unconscious. Although the blatant display of police brutality was caught on video, the officer has not been charged with excessive force.

Early on Sunday, Brittnie Fails was arguing with her boyfriend in a parking lot across the street from Dixie Roadhouse when an unidentified police officer knocked her unconscious. Admittedly drunk, Fails was lightly pushing her boyfriend while demanding her cigarettes and car keys when a Cape Coral cop suddenly rushed up behind her and slammed her to the pavement.

“The next thing I remember is waking up on the ground,” Fails told ABC7.

Instead of checking on her health, the cop chastised her boyfriend for no apparent reason while a bystander made sure Fails was still breathing. When notified that Fails was unresponsive, the officer immediately responded, “Get her up, she’s sitting there faking it.”

While standing in the parking lot and recording the incident, bystander Daniel Wirka declared, “Uncalled for.”

Pulling Fails’ unresponsive body by the arms, the cop ironically turned to Wirka and asked, “Really, you’re going to hurt a lady and put her on there and embarrass her like that?”

As Fail regained consciousness while vocalizing her pain, another bystander emerged from his car and told the arresting officer, “You don’t throw women like that! I don’t care if you have a badge on you, you don’t throw women like that. That’s f#@ked up!”

The cop immediately threatened to arrest the witness while dragging Fails across the parking lot. Fails was charged with disorderly conduct and has admitted that she was drunk that night, but that does not explain why the officer used excessive force on her for no justifiable reason.

According to Wirka, several cops and sergeants attempted to convince him to delete the video after the incident, but he uploaded the video to Facebook instead.

On Sunday, the Cape Coral Police Department released a generic, lobotomized statement: “The agency maintains the responsibility to our community to protect our citizens and officers which unfortunately at times, involves the use of physical force. If it is determined through this investigation that these actions were inappropriate, we will hold ourselves accountable.”

And we all know how trustworthy our government has been known to hold itself accountable. One hand washes the other, while we remain sitting in anticipatory silence.

  1. Steriod enraged, probably “coked up”, had to show everyone how tough he is throwing down a woman! Pigs, it’s inexcusable, I’m not going away quietly. Son’s of bitches!

  2. The costumed contractor tackles the weaker of the two and only talks to the stronger of the two. These are the brave warriors of the thin blue Masonic line.

  3. “The agency maintains the responsibility to our community to protect our citizens and officers which unfortunately at times, involves the use of physical force. If it is determined through this investigation that these actions were inappropriate, we will hold ourselves accountable.”

Translation: “That fine, upstanding officer will be next on the list for promotion.”
