The embattled owner of four Orange County hospitals has been fined $95,000 by the state for breaching a patient’s privacy in an effort to rebut a news article about the chain’s unusual and lucrative billing practices.

The Department of Public Health fined Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding earlier this month after the patient’s medical records were disclosed without consent to three news agencies as well as hospital employees. The hospital is owned by Ontario-based Prime Healthcare Services, which also owns Garden Grove Hospital, La Palma Intercommunity, West Anaheim Medical Center and Huntington Beach Hospital.

Study shows mixing oil with dispersant increased toxicity to Gulf’s ecosystems.

If the 4.9 million barrels of oil that spilled into the Gulf of Mexico during the 2010 Deep Water Horizon spill was a ecological disaster, the two million gallons of dispersant used to clean it up apparently made it even worse – 52-times more toxic. That’s according to new research from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes (UAA), Mexico.

The study found that mixing the dispersant with oil increased toxicity of the mixture up to 52-fold over the oil alone. In toxicity tests in the lab, the mixture’s effects increased mortality of rotifers, a microscopic grazing animal at the base of the Gulf’s food web. The findings are published online by the journal Environmental Pollution and will appear in the February 2013 print edition.

The UN voted yesterday to make Palestine an Independent Observer State. 138 members of the assembly, including many EU states, Russia, China, India and Brazil voted in favor of recognizing the Palestinians as a non-member observer state. Israel, the US, and seven other states, including Canada, the Marshall Islands and Panama, voted against the resolution. Forty-one nations, including the UK and Germany, abstained.

The Palestinians have been celebrating on the West Bank while Benjamin Netanyahu and his lapdog, Hillary Clinton, are refusing to recognize the new designation.  Now, there is a surprise.

They are calling it the “Nuclear Option”.  Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, has proposed ending filibusters, which are an important tool in keeping the minority or the individual from being run over by the majority.  Once again I have heard the imposter Obama refer to my country as a democracy.  My country is not a democracy.  It is a republic wherein the rights of the individual trump the whims and wants of the majority.

This Nuclear Option is another attempted power grab by the Zion communists and, considering the dictatorship that has already been declared, it makes perfect sense.  Once the Senate has declared majority rule, I guess they can make any further rule changes they want, like doing away with the requirement for a two-thirds majority to override a veto.  Or maybe the two-thirds majority needed to ratify a treaty, like the UN Small Arms Treaty.

A California woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of DUI and manslaughter after witnesses saw her driving with a critically injured man on the hood of her car.

Sherri Wilkins, 51, of Torrance, was allegedly driving drunk when she hit Phillip Moreno, 31, as he was walking across the street. Somehow Moreno flew up onto the hood of her car and his body got stuck in her windshield, police told Los Angeles’ KNBC-TV.

Consumer confidence is at 82% as Americans trample one another in the struggle to acquire the Chinese junk being retailed at the international franchise owned outlets in the US.  The consumer confidence number has to be the most incalculable calculated fraud ever to exist as a part of the propaganda machine.  And that is saying something.

Apparently this number is derived by measuring consumer spending in coalition with decreases in savings, hence the people are spending more and saving less because they are not worried about the future because the economy is recovering and happy days are here again.  This is taking the concept of making lemonade from lemons to new heights.

It has been almost two years since the beginning of the so called Arab Spring and it would seem that the Middle East is right back where it started.  Following the election of Mohammad Morsi as President of Egypt, the contention was put forth that he was a week leader and would have very limited power until a new constitution could be written and a new government formed.

Now once again we see the tents pitched in Tahrir Square and the people of Egypt divided into two opposing camps – the pro-western so called secularists and the hard core Muslim Brotherhood.  And with the recent seizure of power by Morsi, who is now being called the Pharaoh, we could quite possibly have another Middle Eastern civil war looming on the horizon.

A new emphasis in the mainstream is being put on the fact that illegal aliens/foreign invaders are being given access to our public dole with exclusive websites to encourage these foreigners to take all we have to give, including SSI.  The powers that be are in an internal struggle for the determination as to who within the American poor and middle class will be next to sacrifice for the enrichment of the international elite.

In reporting on the siphoning of US resources through the safety net by foreign nationals, the most important aspect is being absolutely ignored, which is how can any foreigner/non-US national receive US benefits?  We have to go above and beyond to prove our citizenship just to buy a driver license.  And this situation was accommodated by the assertion that we had to keep driver licenses away from illegal aliens.  Isn’t this always the way of things?

The president has openly announced a move against violent plotters inside the US government and espionage agents. He does not use the terms “AIPAC” or “the Israel lobby” but it is highly unlikely he could be referring to anything else.

According to Fox News, labor unions are trying to kick US businesses while they are down.  This is of course referring to the Black Friday walkout of the Wal-Mart employees.  Number one, Wal-Mart employees are not unionized, and number two, to suggest that the multi-national franchise of Wal-Mart is being kicked while it is down is beyond ludicrous.

Wal-Mart, like the rest of the international franchises, has been making record profits all through this depression and prior to their destruction of millions of small businesses across our country, people who worked in department stores made a living wage.
