We need police to catch murderers, thieves and con men, and so we give them special power — the power to use force on others. Sadly, today’s police use that power to invade people’s homes over accusations of trivial, nonviolent offenses — and often do it with tanks, battering rams and armor you’d expect on battlefields.
In his book “Rise of the Warrior Cop,” Radley Balko recounts the rise of police SWAT teams (SWAT stands for Special Weapons And Tactics) armed with heavy military equipment. SWAT raids began as rarely used methods of dealing with violent situations, like hostage-takings.
We have been living for decades under what Catherine Austin Fitts calls the Slow Burn where all of our assets are stolen from us by the Power Elite on Wall Street. She said Wall Street has stolen $40 trillion from us over the years through fraud and coercion. And they will steal more. She was the former Housing Commissioner in the first Bush administration and had been the managing partner at Dillon Read. Catherine was run out of Washington for being too honest. She once found a single block in San Diego with $20 million in defaulted HUD loans. Not one of the ten fictitious properties even had a postal address. Catherine does not believe that there is a crash coming when one day it all ends. She says the Slow Burn of being robbed by the trillions will continue for a long time. RENO — A state judge has ordered an opponent of state Sen. Ben Kieckhefer of Reno to pull a TV ad that says the Republican incumbent supported Democratic U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in his 2010 race against Republican Sharron Angle.
Washoe County District Judge Patrick Flanagan granted Kieckhefer’s request for a preliminary injunction on Friday night, saying the incumbent is “likely to suffer irreparable injury to his career and reputation” from GOP challenger Gary Schmidt’s ads. Following Obama and Putin’s “caught on tape” meeting Vine’d by the French President, we can’t help but wonder if the Russian leaders comments were something akin to “this is not over yet.” With “De-Dollarization” efforts already broadly under discussion, ITAR-TASS reports that Gazprom had signed additional agreements for clients to switch from dollars to euros and renminbi, “nine of ten consumer had agreed to switch.”

It was some time in March when I was in a private independent study room inside the math lab of Southwestern College, in National City. Math gets very tedious so I often dick around, relieving stress drawing dumb shit on the whiteboard. This time, I felt a bit rebellious, so I wrote many rap lyrics by Dead Prez, Immortal technique, Pink Floyd, etc. Amongst the things I wrote were, “School is a 12-step brainwash camp,” and, “We don’t need no thought control.” Continue reading “Brutalized by School Police for Free Speech”
The Ukrainian National Guard continues to shell Slavyansk, completely surrounded by armored vehicles and military checkpoints, locals report. Residents are hiding in cellars without electricity and water and no chance to evacuate from the besieged city.
At least five people were killed during the assault on Friday, local eyewitness Vitaly told RT, adding that it was impossible to assess how many people could have been injured in the deserted city where “whole streets” were “obliterated.” Continue reading “Slavyansk blockade: Shelling non-stop, shops closed, no meds, no chance to evacuate”
There are three reasons Americans’ love affair with snacks is growing– along with their waistlines: the ubiquity of junk food, the ubiquity of junk food advertising, and stealth food technology. People who polish off a whole bag of chips or cookies at one sitting (usually in front of TV) are often doing exactly what the product was designed to do–be addictive.
Have you noticed the overpowering something-in-the-oven smell that wafts up when you walk past a Subway? Mark Christiano, Subway’s Global Baking Technologist, insists the aroma is not pumped outside to entice passers-by and adds that the bread recipe is “proprietary.” But in the war for your food dollar, all tactics are clearly on the table including the way a food smells, looks, and feels in the mouth. Nothing is left up to chance. Continue reading “5 Unhealthy Foods Engineered To Be Addictive”

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (INTELLIHUB) — Well people, the public domain will soon no longer be safe in any way, shape or form as aerial drones will soon lurk about everywhere. And yes I do mean everywhere. There will literally be no place to hide and no place will be private. It’s the end of privacy as we know it. Continue reading “LAPD drone testing to ensue, public will no longer be free”
