The Mexican-American studies curriculum offered in Tucson, Ariz., public schools in years past has been described by at least two federal judges as a program that promotes resentment against whites. As a result of the ruling, education officials passed a law in 2010 banning such lessons.

In 2013, however, reports indicate the city’s school board opted to resurrect the same courses determined to discriminate against Caucasians. Materials including Occupied America and Chicano! were among the offending books ordered as a result of the board’s vote.   Continue reading “Arizona Educators Bring Back Anti-White Curriculum After Judges Struck It Down”

Though it’s not as deadly as the West African Ebola virus, the Avian Influenza A (H5N1) still has a mortality rate of 60% for those who contract it. That makes it a serious disease with deadly implications and it has now made its way to North America for the first time ever according to the CDC.

The virus, a mutation of which was created by scientists in a lab, is believed to have the potential to kill up to half the world’s population should it ever start to spread at a more rapid rate.   Continue reading “CDC Warning: First Case of Avian Influenza A (H5N1) Virus Ever Detected In the Americas”

An animal liberation group called Direct Action Everywhere recently hosted an event in which a variety of presentations were given, which included titles such as “Trickle-Up Queer Animal Liberation” and “LGBTQ and Animal Liberation.

The video compilation, posted by Daylight Disinfectant, starts off with a young, uhh, supposedly female who talks about her kielbasa, and why she didn’t have any love for the sausage. “How could I justly seek my own liberation, while denying that to others?” she pondered. She later shows a picture of her girlfriend with a “cow”, which shows them “connecting” and the cow “really enjoying himself.” “My goal is total animal, queer, and trans liberation” she says at the end of her presentation.   Continue reading “Activists Hold Conference in Support of “Queer Animal Liberation””

A seemingly innocuous incident at a Pittsburgh Steelers game over the weekend prompted concern about the consequences of law enforcement mining social media to predict crimes.

At Saturday’s Ravens-Steelers playoff game, a Steelers fan named Jake Berlin sent out a Twitter message stating he would run onto Heinz Field if 400 people “retweeted,” or resent, his message.

“Screw it, #Steelers are losing anyway. 400 RTs and I’ll run onto Heinz Field,” Berlin tweeted.   Continue reading “Tweet Prompts Punishment For ‘Predicted Crime’”

Unless their parents opt for a medical or religious exemption, young school children in New York City will soon be required to get a flu shot in order to attend preschool or gain access to a child care facility.

As outlined by the New York City Health Department (NYCHD), children aged 6-59 months will be barred from attending classes or being around other children in an institutional setting if they don’t first get jabbed for the flu — this, despite warnings by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that this year’s flu shot doesn’t even work.   Continue reading “NYC mandates flu shots for toddlers even after CDC admits they don’t work”

A former Governor of Virginia is expected to be sentenced to a long stay in prison. The same fate has befallen governors in states across the United States, including in nearby Maryland, Tennessee, and West Virginia. A former governor of Illinois is in prison. Governors have been convicted of corruption in Rhode Island, Louisiana, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Connecticut, and (in a trumped-up partisan scam) in Alabama. The statewide trauma suffered by the people of states that have locked up their governors has been . . . well, nonexistent and unimaginable.   Continue reading “Presidents Are Gods”

A former CBS journalist is suing the Justice Department, the United States Postal Service and several federal employees for allegedly hacking her computers while she investigated stories critical of the Obama Administration.

Sharyl Attkisson, a former veteran CBS News correspondent, alleges in a legal complaint that three separate computer forensic exams showed hackers used sophisticated methods to monitor her work between 2011 and 2013. During that period, Attkisson was investigating a gun-trafficking story involving federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms improperly permitting weapons to be purchased by Mexican drug cartels, a case which came to be known as “Fast and Furious.”   Continue reading “CBS journalist sues Justice Department for spying”

While Republicans hope legislation approving the Keystone XL pipeline will pass a Senate vote on Friday, a key lawmaker told US media the bill could fail to override a potential presidential veto as it might be short of just four supporting votes.

The US Senate is planning to vote at the end of the week on the controversial Keystone XL pipeline, which would transport crude oil from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico, House Majority leader Kevin McCarthy told The Wall Street Journal on Monday.   Continue reading “‘Not veto proof yet’? BAGHDAD (AP) — A suicide blast targeting Iraqi security forces and subsequent clashes with Islamic State extremists on Tuesday killed at least 23 troops and pro-government Sunni fighters in the country’s embattled western province of Anbar, officials said.

The day’s heavy toll for the Iraqi forces came as they struggle in battles against the Islamic State group and try to claw back territory lost to the extremists during the militants’ blitz last year.
