Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

Something stunning took place earlier this week, and it quietly snuck by, unnoticed by anyone as the “all important” FOMC meeting was looming. That something could have been taken straight out of the playbook of either Cyprus, or Greece, or the USSR “evil empire”, or all three.

This is how the WSJ explained it:

The U.S. Justice Department’s criminal head said banks may need to go beyond filing suspicious activity reports when they encounter a risky customer. Continue reading “Justice Department Rolls Out An Early Form Of Capital Controls In America”

LONDON (AP) — One of the world’s most popular weed-killers — and the most widely used kind in the U.S. — has been labeled a probable carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

The decision was made by IARC, the France-based cancer research arm of the World Health Organization, which considered the status of five insect and weed killers including glyphosate, which is used globally in industrial farming.   Continue reading “Popular Weed-Killer Is Probably Carcinogenic, WHO Says”

In the wake of Al Gore’s recent speech to the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, attention is being focused on the increasing trend among global warming activists to want to punish those who disagree with the concept of a manmade climate change.

“We need to put a price on carbon to accelerate these market trends,” Gore told the attendees, referring to a proposed federal cap-and-trade system that would penalize companies which exceed their carbon-emission limits. “And in order to do that, we need to put a price on denial in politics.”   Continue reading “New Inquisition: Punish climate-change ‘deniers’”

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama plans to grant clemency to federal offenders “more aggressively” during the remainder of his presidency, he said in a sit-down interview with The Huffington Post on Friday.

Obama has faced criticism for rarely using his power to grant pardons and commutations. In December, he commuted the sentences of eight federal drug offenders, including four who had been sentenced to life. That brought his total number of commutations to 18.   Continue reading “Obama: I’ll Use Clemency Power ‘More Aggressively’”

When President Richard Nixon signed the Controlled Substance Act (CSA) in 1970, a wide array of substances, natural and manufactured, instantly became illegal. Categorized as Schedule I drugs, they are those substances determined by the Drug Enforcement Agency (also created by the CSA) to have a high potential for abuse, no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the U.S., and a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision.   Continue reading “Cohen’s Brain Bits: Magical Mystery Medicine”

Islamic State has posted online what it says are the names, U.S. addresses and photos of 100 American military service members, and called upon its “brothers residing in America” to kill them.

The Pentagon said after the information was posted on the Internet that it was investigating the matter. “I can’t confirm the validity of the information, but we are looking into it,” a U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said on Saturday.   Continue reading “Islamic State calls on backers to kill 100 U.S. military personnel”

Outpost of Freedom – by Gary Hunt

In Camp Lone Star – “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” and Camp Lone Star – “a Fundamental Right”, I discussed the motions filed by K. C. Massey’s attorney, Louis Sorola, the former being a motion to suppress evidence and the latter a motion to dismiss the charges. The government, surprisingly, managed to respond to those motions within the statutory time (20 days), when they filed the   Continue reading “Camp Lone Star – More like Wonderland”

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Psychedelic mushrooms are a banned substance, and are legally in the same category as some of the most dangerous drugs.

But as CBS2’s Kristine Johnson reported, they’re making a comeback under the supervision of doctors who are giving patients the “magic mushroom medicine.”

The ’60s counterculture decade was an era of rebellion and experimentation with drugs– including psychedelics. But now, doctors want to bring them back.   Continue reading “‘Magic Mushrooms’ Making A Medical Comeback”

The chairman of the congressional committee probing the Benghazi terror attacks has formally asked that Hillary Clinton turn over her personal server — warning that the House could take steps to pressure her if she refuses.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., sent a letter, released Friday, to Clinton’s attorney requesting that the former secretary of state “relinquish” the server to a “neutral, detached and independent third-party” for review.    Continue reading “Benghazi panel head Gowdy asks Clinton to ‘relinquish’ personal server”

Last week we reported that as part of the latest “check kiting” bailout scheme, Greek pensioners (and now utility companies) are being raided by the Greek government so that it can repay its debts to the IMF, which in turn would go ahead and fund a part of the recently approved $17.5 billion bailout of Ukraine, which then would have the money to pay its debts to Russia… and the IMF. And, as we also noted, “The only question is how long will it take the current puppet government to syphon off enough funds into various illegal ventures and offshore accounts before the IMF has to step back in a la Greece with bailout #2.”   Continue reading “US Taxpayers To Fund Ukraine Bailout With Bond Guarantee”

Researchers — psychologists and social scientists, mostly — in the U.S. and United Kingdom say data indicate that, contrary to those mainstream media stereotypes, “conspiracy theorists” appear to be more sane than people who accept official versions of controversial and contested events.

(NaturalNews) If you’re a conspiracy theorist, then you’re crazy, right? That’s been the common belief for years, but recent studies prove that just the opposite is true.

Researchers — psychologists and social scientists, mostly — in the U.S. and United Kingdom say data indicate that, contrary to those mainstream media stereotypes, “conspiracy theorists” appear to be more sane than people who accept official versions of controversial and contested events.   Continue reading “Scientific study reveals conspiracy theorists the most sane of all”

USS RangerKFOR 4 News

(CNN) — The aircraft carrier, USS Ranger, which saw action in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm, and had appearances in the movies “Top Gun” and “Star Trek IV,” is on its final journey… a five-month cruise at the end of a tow cable from Bremerton, Washington, to a scrapyard in Texas.

The 56,300-ton warship, which was launched in 1956, was decommissioned in 1993. But keeping hope, USS Ranger was kept in storage for possible reactivation until March 2004, when it was stricken from the Naval Vessel Register and made available for donation to a group that could preserve it and turn it into a museum.   Continue reading “Navy sells ‘Top Gun’ carrier for one cent as it makes its final journey”

Geoengineering, A Clear And Present DangerGeoengineering Watch – by Dane Wigington

This video presentation was done in Northern California on November 21st, 2014, it is a wake up call. When the ship is going down, one must prioritize their time, their actions, and their energy. The planet is dying. Though there are countless forms of damage to Earth from human activities, climate engineering is mathematically the greatest single source, it is the epitome of human insanity. Every year, about more than 9.2 million people from around the world enter America’s Green Card lottery. If they are one of about 50,000 names picked at random, they get a free pass to legally resettle in the U.S. But there’s also another way to get the doors to the U.S. to open: cough up half-a-million dollars. And the Chinese are taking full advantage of it.

More than 9,000 Chinese immigrants basically bought their way into America last year. Chinese citizens were issued roughly 40 times more investor visas (also known as EB-5 visas) than any other country. South Korea was second, with just 225 immigrant investor visas. Five countries — China, South Korea, Vietnam, China (Taiwan-born) and Mexico — accounted for a staggering 90 percent of all investor visas issued in 2014, according to the U.S. Department of State.   Continue reading “9,000 Chinese Paid At Least $500,000 Last Year To Live In The US”
