An investigation by the Desert Sun found that Nestle Waters North America’s permit to transport water across the San Bernardino National Forest expired in 1988. The water is piped across the national forest and loaded on trucks to a plant where it is bottled as Arrowhead 100 percent Mountain Spring Water.   Continue reading “US Forest Service investigates expired Nestle water permit”

“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.” – Kris Kristofferson

The principle battlefield in the war for your mind is public media. In this field of operations, winning hearts and minds is about creating illusions, managing perceptions, and cleverly blurring the lines between life, death and entertainment. The more exaggerated, absurd and over-embellished a claim is, the more volume it has in the crowded mental space of consumer culture.   Continue reading “US Navy’s Creepy New Ads Send Conflicting Message About Liberty”

A conservative legal firm is claiming victory after an atheist activist group announced that it will not appeal a recent New Jersey trial court decision in favor of the presence of “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance.

A press contact at the American Humanist Association, the atheist group at the center of the legal battle, confirmed to TheBlaze on Monday that its legal arm will not be appealing the case.   Continue reading “Teen’s Defense of ‘Under God’ Just Won Big After Atheists ‘Threw in the Towel’ on Pledge of Allegiance Legal Battle”

That notorious time of the year is upon us again; the income tax deadline. It is an affected date because the tax system tells it is so. The torment and extortion of organized theft goes on all year long, but April 15 has a special place in the gut of every victim of larceny by government. Oh sure, paying taxes is supposed to be the price of maintaining civilization, but when was the last time that government protected , much less promoted, the mythical “Good Society”. The notion that paying tribute to a federal self ordained authority as a duty is only accepted by delusional proponents of a fantasy existence of welfare recipient beneficiaries.   Continue reading “IRS Scandal – No Indictment for Lerner”

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU and wires) – East Bay water officials have been asked to declare a Stage 4 drought alert, to add a drought surcharge to customer’s bills by July 1st and also put into place stiff fines for individuals who are guilty of stealing water.

Those were among the measures the East Bay Municipal Utility District staff was recommending to the water utility’s board of directors.   Continue reading “EBMUD to consider declaring Stage 4 Drought alert”

Saying he and his constituents are tired of presidents violating the Constitution to achieve their political goals, a Florida congressman is bringing forth legislation to define “high crimes and misdemeanors” and what actions ought to trigger impeachment proceedings against a president.

“Every time we go back to the district and even before I ran, people said, ‘The three branches of government are out of balance. When is Congress going to stand up and have some accountability and rein in the power of the executive branch?’” said Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla.   Continue reading “Congress finally takes up ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ 1st step taken in defining reason for impeachment”

Refugee Resettlement Watch – by Ann Cocoran

According to regulations promulgated under the Refugee Act of 1980, every state resettling refugees must submit a plan to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (at HHS) and keep it current.  That means every state, but Wyoming (so far).

I would like everyone concerned about the Refugee Resettlement Program to contact your state coordinator today and ask for your state’s plan.

This summer the U.S. government will begin an unprecedented joint military exercise involving several states and tens of thousands of participants ranging from special operations groups to volunteer citizens.

The official purpose of the exercise, dubbed Operation Jade Helm 15, according to the military is to prepare American soldiers and special operations teams for emerging foreign threats. But investigations by independent media outlets suggest it is much more than a standard “training exercise.”   Continue reading “Feds Seek Role Players For Simulating Forced Detention & Relocation of Americans”

A New York college was on lockdown Monday after threats of a bomb and shooter on campus, according to school officials.

Hamilton College, in the town of Clinton in upstate New York, was first locked down at 11:21 a.m. ET and about two hours later, the South Campus was evacuated after a suspicious package was found. The package was investigated and wasn’t found to be a threat, according to the school.

But students and staff at the school were told to continue to shelter in place at 3:15 p.m. as police swept the Kirner-Johnson building, a large building on the northern part of the campus where the threats were first reported, according to the school.   Continue reading “New York’s Hamilton College on Lockdown After Bomb, Shooter Threat”

When developers wanted to build a shopping mall over Edith Macefield’s house, she refused. What resulted from her anti-corporate stance is beyond inspiring.

A home is more than just a house. It’s a place where memories and remembered experiences cling to the walls, where laughter and grievances are kindly held in forlorn thought, and a sanctuary of sorts that mirrors its owner and the unique life they’ve lived.   Continue reading “They Offered Her A Million Dollars To Move, But This 84-year-old Refused… What Resulted Is Brilliant.”

The hits just keep on coming. Less than an hour ago, I highlighted the latest case of an unarmed U.S. civilian killed unnecessarily by police in Oklahoma. In that incident, the cop claims to have mistakenly pulled out his gun instead of a taser (see: Another Police Killing Caught on Tape – Oklahoma Cop Shoots and Kills Unarmed Man in Tulsa).

Well it turns out another extremely disturbing video showcasing the recent epidemic of “death by civilian encounter with police” has surfaced. This time it’s a Vineland, New Jersey man. We see how Philip G. White is already pinned to the ground and repeatedly pounded on by a police officer, when he is then subjected to a sustained violent attack by a police dog. The man died in custody.   Continue reading “Video of the Day – New Jersey Man Dies After Police Dog Violently Attacks Him While He’s Pinned Down on the Ground”

It is hard to imagine that this surreal story does not originate in a nation run by a violent warlord (or maybe it does), but it actually comes from Florida, where Lucas Jewell, a resident of Gainesville noticed local members of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department were riding through town in a tank-like armored vehicle that appears to be a Lanco BearCat, an armored personnel carrier intended for military use.

As Mr. Jewell believes that this is a gross abuse of taxpayers’ dollars and is opposed to the militarization of police, he found this display of military hardware on public roads offensive and showed the individuals in riding in the tank his middle finger and proceeded to continue on his journey.   Continue reading “Militarized Police Now Using ‘Tanks’ (Armored Vehicles) To Pull Over Citizens On American Soil”
