LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — A pair of small explosions just 20 minutes and a few miles apart shocked congregants Sunday morning at two churches in southern New Mexico.

There were no injuries or deaths from the blasts outside Calvary Baptist and Holy Cross Roman Catholic in Las Cruces, Las Cruces police spokesman Danny Trujillo said. Each building sustained minor damage.

Sixteen-year-old Shira Banki, who was critically injured by an ultra-orthodox Jew along with five others at a peaceful Gay Pride march in Jerusalem on Thursday, succumbed to her injuries in a hospital on Sunday. HONG KONG (Reuters) – Tujia, a Chinese vacation rental company similar to home rental firm Airbnb Inc, said on Monday it had raised $300 million from a group of investors to expand its business overseas, increase marketing and offer new products.

The deal values Tujia at more than $1 billion, the Chinese company added without disclosing the size of the stake the investors bought. General Ali Mamluk is Syria’s chief of the office of home security.  He visited Riyadh and met with the Saudi deputy Crown Prince Mohamad bin Salman [son of the current king] as a result of a Vladimir Putin brokered initiative. The coming together of these two sides to talk after 4 years of war is a hopeful sign that the Mideast is moving away from war towards peace.

This meeting tacitly recognizes Syria’s upper hand on the situation on the ground. Syria had begun a summer offensive with the aid of a Iran’s brigade of 15,000 volunteer Shi’ite fighters raised from Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Hezbollah has decided to go all in to defend Syria. Iran has pledged to give Hezbollah their latest model night drones to fight ISIS. Iran also gave Syria a billion dollars to fund this offensive.
