A U.S. Navy warship called the USS Boxer took down an Iranian drone in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, President Trump said, adding, “The drone was immediately destroyed.” A senior Iranian official has denied that the country lost a drone.

“The Boxer took defensive action against an Iranian drone,” Trump said, giving details about the encounter at the start of a flag presentation ceremony at the White House. EWING — A police officer has been charged with murdering his three-month-old daughter, who died in December six days after she was admitted to the hospital with a fractured skull and ribs.

Daniel Bannister, 31, was suspended from the force in December, although authorities did not explain why until the murder charge was announced Wednesday. Orange County, CA — The war on homelessness has reached unprecedented heights this week as officials in California announced that they will begin arresting people in certain ares for the sole factor of being homeless. The announcement comes after a series of lawsuits were settled to get a handle on Orange County’s homeless problem.

For the mere act of being homeless in the wrong part of town, cops can now arrest people.
