The Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

Has there ever been a time in your life when you haven’t had enough food to make it through the week?  If you have never experienced this, you are extremely fortunate.  Even during the best of times, millions of Americans struggle with hunger, and these definitely are not the best of times.  Because of all the crazy things that have happened so far in 2020, large numbers of people have been forced into dramatic lifestyle changes.  Many Americans have deeply cut their food budgets due to a lack of income, others are now only eating one or two meals a day, and we are seeing more demand at food banks around the country than we ever have before.  It is quite obvious that massive numbers of people are really hurting, and Bloomberg is reporting that it is being projected that the number of Americans that are “fighting hunger” will rise to “more than 50 million” by the end of this calendar year… Continue reading “It Is Being Projected That More Than 50 Million Americans Will Be Fighting Hunger By The End Of This Year”

Note: I was told by a parishoner of Fr. Nolan’s parish whom I trust there that ‘Catholic News Agency’ is the one who created this alleged ‘controversy’ by calling to report the priest to the Diocese and to his superiors.

I am acquainted with this priest. My wife & I went to confession to Fr. Nolan last month and then to evening Mass. After Mass we did our hour of Eucharistic Adoration, and the only other people in the church were Fr. Nolan, on his knees in front of the tabernacle for an hour, and Fr. Kluge. They are very holy and good priests. Continue reading “Heroic Priest Fr. Daniel Nolan, FSSP: “I encourage everybody not to wear a mask.””

Business owners in Minneapolis are scrounging for answers after discovering that insurance money will not be enough to cover clean-up costs after rioters ransacked neighborhoods and hollowed out storefronts, according to a report published Monday.

Owners are being asked to fork over between $100,000 than $300,000 for construction companies to demolish and eventually haul away buildings that were all-but destroyed after the May riots, the Star Tribune reported. They are shocked and increasingly desperate, as most insurance policies cover only $25,000 in demolition costs, the report noted. Oregon State Police troopers have been deputized by the federal government.

That means they can act on behalf of the feds even though they work for a state agency.

In a statement, OSP said it has worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to review arrests, but it didn’t confirm if any of the people it has arrested have been charged federally. Continue reading “Oregon State Police troopers deputized by feds”
