Earth orbit could get a lot more crowded, and a lot more dangerous, on Thursday night (Oct. 15).

Two big pieces of space junk are zooming toward a close approach that will occur Thursday at 8:56 p.m. EDT (0056 GMT on Oct. 16), according to California-based tracking company LeoLabs. Continue reading “2 big pieces of space junk could collide Thursday night”

A group of Filipino teachers have found a creative way to help children of indigenous communities living in remote mountains north of Manila catch up on their studies under the new norms of pandemic restrictions.

Using old bookshelves and used wooden boards, the teachers built a makeshift learning center complete with a large monitor — all of which can fit on top of rickshaw and travel between rugged mountain village roads in the mostly rural province of Pampanga. The Great Recession

I mentioned in a recent article that the weird thing about this recession is that it is the only one in which personal income has gone up during a recession. That, of course, is because of government assistance, which is making it so we don’t have to feel the pain of a recession that the government, itself, caused — through its massive debt, tax breaks for the 1%, reliance on the Fed to solve government’s problems, and most currently through its forced economic shutdown as a response to COVID-19 — something that even the WHO now says was failed policy that should never have happened — even though they helped make sure it did happen! Defense News -by Aaron Mehta

WASHINGTON — In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the defense industry began adjusting its facilities to avoid major outbreaks that could shut down production lines for days or weeks at a time. And now that those changes are in place, the U.S. Army’s top acquisition official thinks they should remain so for good.

Speaking to reporters during the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual conference, Bruce Jette, assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology, said he sees long-term benefits from maintaining the kind of social distancing protective measures put in place across industry.

DENVER (AP) — An armed security guard for a television station who is suspected of fatally shooting a man following an altercation after opposing protests was acting in self-defense when he opened fire, a lawyer representing his family said Monday.

Breitbart – by AWR Hawkins

Grandparents with a pro-police flag in their front yard in Seattle, Washington, were targeted in a drive-by shooting on Friday.

KIRO 7 reports that the grandparents had a “thin blue line American flag” in their yard in support of the Seattle Police Department. They noted that “derogatory” comments had been made toward them over the flag, prior to the shooting. Continue reading “Grandparents with Pro-Police Flag Targeted in Drive-By Shooting”

National Pulse

A man was murdered for his political preferences, and it has scarcely attracted a peep from the national media – and even Republican politicians have been relatively quiet about it.

If Lee Keltner, the victim of the Denver shooting, was left-wing, gay, or an ethnic minority, this would not just have been front-page news for days – but there’d be riots, looting, and Al Sharpton getting on a private jet already. Another day, another fuzzy picture of a night time fire set by violent leftists suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. Today’s edition features a pickup truck in Vancouver, Washington, just north of Portland (duh), that was adorned with Trump flags. That is until crazed arsonists decided to light the flags afire, and the flames spread to torch the whole truck. Continue reading “Truck With Trump Flags Torched By Arsonists Near Portland”
