BREAKING: Donald Trump is rushed away by Secret Service while speaking during Reno rally after protester ‘with a gun’ tries to storm the stage. Secret Service agents rushed Donald trump offstage on Saturday evening during a rally in Reno, Nevada after they determined a protester in the audience with a gun posed a threat to the Republican presidential candidate.
‘Go! Go!’ they shouted as they whisked him away and a combination of local police and private security wrestled the suspect to the ground.
Thousands of people scattered like a sea of bodies, screams rang out and authorities dragged the man away as he kicked and strained.
Trump returned to the stage just five minutes later.
‘Nobody said it was going to be easy for us,’ Trump declared. ‘But we will never be stopped. Never, never be stopped.’
‘I want to thank the Secret Service. These guys are fantastic. They don’t get enough credit. They don’t get enough credit. They’re amazing people.’
Trump had spotted the protester and claimed he was a Hillary Clinton supporter before asking security to ‘take him out.’
As he returned to his speech, Trump thanked a group of fans near the stage who had stepped in to subdue his would-be attacker.
‘You were amazing, fellas,’ he said.
‘I saw what you were doing. That’s a tough group of people right that… Nobody messes with our people, right?’
Trump then returned to his regular speech.

Moments ago Republican nominee Donald Trump was suddenly rushed off the stage at a rally in Reno, Nevada.
No information about the incident is immediately known. Noah Gray, a CNN producer, just reported that the “apparent threat,” was enough to warrant Secret Service to pull Trump off stage in the middle of his rally.
It almost seemed like the “hand over his face” thing was a code sign to have the Secret Service rush him off the stage.
I give this production two thumbs waaaaaaaaaaay down.
It seems to me the secret service just weren’t convincing. They could have played their parts much more secretively. They needed more furtive movements…furtive. Furtive.
The part of Donald Trump, that was played by Donald Trump, just wasn’t convincing either.
He’s got his hand up, shading the light from his eyes, looking. Just looking. Why is his hand there? What’s his motivation? Is he keeping the light out of his eyes? Is he looking in the audience? What’s he looking at? He doesn’t know. He doesn’t know!
The was a truly dreadful performance. Just dreadful.
I give it 1 and a half stars. That’s the best I can do.
