Explosion levels home, damages others in Lowell, Ind.

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) – A house exploded in the northwest Indiana city of Lowell, Indiana Monday night.

The explosion occurred around 8 p.m. Monday, in a home off of Route 2 near I-65. Police say at least one home was leveled and several other nearby homes caught on fire.   

More than 100 first responders are still on the scene Monday evening. As of 10 p.m., State Road is closed between Grant Road and SR-55.

Authorities would not immediately say if anyone was hurt, but one person was seen being loaded into an ambulance.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown at this time.

    Seeing how this is not too far from Chicongo, I’d go with “Meth Lab” for $200 Johnny. Sounds like some idiot breaking bad in a crap economy.
