Before Dutch elm disease, my hometown was just like driving through a tunnel. The canopy above didn’t let much sun through which kept it cooler in the summer, and, with the leaves gone for winter, allowed the sun to shine stronger to help it warm. It was perfect. That pic reminds me of those days.
