Grand Funk Railroad, one of my all-time favorite bands, was part of me growin’ up. Top of the charts in high school, they sold millions.
However, through all the lightning wonderment of the media catching up with the movement, it threw an anchor around the neck of freedom, pulled back, and said, ” Whoa Nellie”. We can have kids thinkin’ they’re free. Then the batons came out, especially in Chi-Town, and, well, if your mindful, old enough, and educated at all remember the 60’s and 70’s, you know it was a time of unrest and it was felt on every street in the nation.
Things tend to come full circle and, I hope the spirit of not only civil disobedience and discourse with our so- called political elite leads to people hangin’ from the rafters in every barn of every township where the unscrupulous pigs reside. And, I believe that’s includes about every town.
