Gun-Grabbing California Senator Leland Yee Indicted For Corruption and Trafficking Firearms

Why does it always seem that the biggest supporters of gun control are criminals?

State Senator Leland Yee has been indicted for public corruption as part of a major FBI operation this morning in the Bay Area, according to ABC7 news.

A San Francisco police spokesman said the FBI is serving multiple arrest and search warrants this morning, but said he had no knowledge of a Yee arrest.

ABC7 reported one of the searches is taking place at the San Francisco Chinatown office of the Gee King Tong Free Masons and is linked to the arrest this morning of Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow.

The FBI was seen at Yee’s Sacramento office, where they reportedly arrived at 7 a.m.

Targets of the raid are expected to appear in federal court in San Francisco this afternoon.

Like so many in the citizen control cult, Yee has seldom found a law restricting the rights of citizens that he didn’t support. He’s attacked hunting, supported a law to ban the sale of “M” rated video games that was struck down by the California Supreme Court on First Amendment grounds, and has been the author of multiple gun control bills.

Yee had made repeated attempts to outlaw popular semi-automatic rifles, and his most recent effort, SB 374, was vetoed by Governor Jerry Brown last year. Yee had vowed to reintroduce the legislation again in 2014, but will likely be more concerned about finding a good defense lawyer instead.

The raid also likely signals the end of his run for Secretary of State in California but did suggest that he might now be eligible for honorary membership in another group.

Yee seems like he’d be right at home among the felons of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Update: Sen. Yee charged with trafficking firearms in sweeping FBI probe

State Sen. Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) was charged Wednesday with conspiring to commit wire fraud and traffic firearms, part of a sweeping public corruption case outlined by federal prosecutors.

The charges sent shock waves through the San Francisco and Sacramento political establishments, as FBI agents searched Yee’s Capitol office. Last year the FBI raided the offices of Sen. Ron Calderon (D-Montebello), who was targeted in a bribery sting.

In all, 26 people, including former school board president Keith Jackson, were indicted on charges related to an extensive crime ring headed by well-known Chinatown figure Raymond Chow, who was also arrested and charged Wednesday.

The indictment alleges Yee and Jackson defrauded “citizens of honest services” and were involved in a scheme to traffic firearms in exchange for thousands in campaign donations to the senator.

  1. Yes!!!! every single one of the Ca state govt officials need investigated. state and federal Constitutional violations. Voter fraud has ran rampant. Corruption, blatant abuse of power-money laundering… lets look at all of them, past and present.

  2. “Why does it always seem that the biggest supporters of gun control are criminals”? Because just maybe they are, starting in DC.

  3. Let’s see now, a mayor in N.C.
    A sen. in Calif.
    An assemblyman in N.Y.
The feds are, or seem to be, busy ….hmmmm….

    1. Para, did a bit of a bag check,so far, well, tis all necessary in my book. That said, will keep sifting thru the stuff and of course as start a more regular hike will re evaluate. My biggest dilemma is rifle,5.56 or .308,both travel fine but tis a ammunition choice weight wise, really giving this one some thought while I have the time to make the choice, either way will work your system of boxes/loaders into play, like dedicated molle pouches just takes the thinking/digging for something out of the process.

  4. Even though Yee is Korean, I can almost guarantee this guy is working for the Triads (Chinese mafia). He’s no American. Unlike other Americanized Asians, this guy still has the map of Asia written clearly all over his face and has never mentally left his Asian country. Makes me wonder if he can even speak English fluently.

    1. Whoops! My bad, he is Chinese. Yep. Definitely Chinese mafia. Don’t I feel stupid. His name looks Korean though. Ugh! All these asians look alike. 🙄
