On November 12, CBS NEWS reported that “White House lawyers” are examining gun laws to find an avenue where President Obama can use executive action to go around Congress and expand background checks to cover private gun sales.
Obama and the attorneys are trying to determine a threshold that private gun owners who sell and trade guns would cross in order to be treated like licensed gun dealers. Once they cross that threshold—which NBC News reported might be “50 or 100 guns a year”—private citizens would be required to go through a licensed dealer and obtain a background check in order to sell a gun to a neighbor, co-worker, or parent. In other words, the private gun sales Americans have conducted since 1791 would be done away.
Guns Owners of America’s (GOA) executive director Larry Pratt recently talked to Breitbart News about this behind-the-scenes maneuver and said it is past time for GOP leaders in Congress to stand up in clear opposition to Obama’s plans. He also suggested it may be time for law-abiding citizens to simply let it be known that they will not comply, much like citizens in Washington state did after Michael Bloomberg and other one-percenters doled over millions upon millions of dollars to expand background checks to private gun sales in that state.
Pratt said:
I kind of like what was done in Washington state. Where folks went in front of a government building—they actually had some police participating—and they exchanged guns openly, trading this one for that one or selling this gun to one individual and buying a different gun from another. So they spent some amount of time exchanging firearms, but not a piece of paper had ink put to it. They all kind of had a good time and went home.
I’m guessing if we could do something similar—probably not in the District of Columbia—but perhaps in Alexandria or Richmond, Virginia, we could go to a federal building and do the same thing.
Pratt then turned his attention to the GOP:
I guess if we listened very carefully, we might hear one or two Republicans say this is illegal. But no one is talking about impeaching him, no one is talking about shutting the money off for these kinds of enforcement activities—which they can do and which would be a lot easier than impeaching; just go ahead and turn the money off and that’s that. The Republicans have ways to deal with Obama that are serious, but he hasn’t seen any effective opposition from the Republicans.
Pratt observed, “I suppose the question is—are the Republicans actually in agreement with what he’s doing or are they such wimps that they’re sitting in the corner sobbing that there’s nothing they can do?”

People forget that those that serve within our governments have DELEGATED “powers” that belong to the branch or listed in writing office they serve within. That authority does NOT belong to the individual serving, he/she is ALLOWED to use it for as long as they keep the Oath and it matters not what government position they serve within.
Obama cannot create ANY law, regulation, code, EO, etc that is lawful and binding on the American people as the authority that he is allowed to use is DELEGATED and put into writing in the contract that he agreed to keep and took an Oath to “preserve, protect, defend”. Nor does he, or anyone else who serves within our government have any authority to change those delegated “powers”. They are the employees.
So those “attorneys” who are “trying to determine a threshold that private gun owners who sell and trade guns would cross in order to be treated like licensed gun dealers” are actually Traitors to the American people, as is Obama (many ttimes over). I know that there is no one who is in a “official” position to charge tthem, and I have tried as an non official. But the more people who recognize Treason for what it is, and get the word out listing the acts of Treason maybe we can stop a lot of what is going on.(??)
They have NO DELEGATED authority over the Bill of Rights except where it is specifically listed, those are above and before the delegated and put-into-writing contract that they are under.
