An armed man has been killed after opening fire at a cinema complex in western Germany, according to German media. Up to 50 people were wounded in the shooting.
The German Interior Ministry confirmed that the man was shot in the town of Viernheim, according to local media.

The Darmstadter Echo reported that between 20 and 50 people were wounded.
There are also unconfirmed reports that 40 people were being held hostage by the man.

The shooter, wearing a mask and a cartridge belt around his shoulder, entered the Kinopolis in Viernheim at around 3pm local time.
Frankfurter Allgemeine reported that four shots were fired.

The shooter then barricaded himself inside the premises.
Officers, including some from the SEC special task force, arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
A spokesman for the local Darmstadt police spoke only of a “vague threats,” Tagesschau reported.

Wow… a copycat Aurora theater shooting. Only this time the gunman died rather than being disappeared in a psyche ward. Amazing. I’m sure the gunman came in from the outside (you know, those doors that can only be opened from the INSIDE. 🙄 ). And I’m sure there are no body bags or ambulances and no blood or even no security footage of the whole incident. Just the MSM’s “honest” reporting.
