Homeowner holds escaped Georgia inmates at gunpoint until arrests

Fox News

A Tennessee homeowner held two escaped inmates wanted in the killing of two prison guards at gunpoint Thursday until authorities arrived and made the arrests.

Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Bill Miller said late Thursday that the homeowner caught Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose trying to steal his vehicle.

Miller says the escaped Georgia inmates had crashed a car while being chased by law enforcement and fled on foot into woods along Interstate 24 near the rural community of Christiana.

Rowe and Dubose are accused of killing two guards on a prison transfer bus early Tuesday.

Authorities say Rowe and Dubose overpowered and killed Sgt. Christopher Monica and Sgt. Curtis Billue early Tuesday on a bus that should have been secured as it carried 33 inmates between prisons southeast of Atlanta.

Authorities had offered a $130,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the fugitives, whom Sills had called “dangerous beyond description.”

The search had involved law enforcement officers all over Georgia, as well as the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Gov. Nathan Deal released a statement, “Rest assured, justice will be served. My sincere thanks to our local, state and federal law enforcement officers who assisted in the manhunt. Because of their tireless efforts, the public is safe.”

Wait a minute…I thought it was an armed homeowner who caught the escapees? Why isn’t the governor thanking the homeowner? What did the pigs accomplish here, apart from stopping by to pick up these guys who had already been captured?

It goes back to a statist mentality: only someone who wears a badge and/or a uniform can be worthy of praise for the actions they take while armed. F–k you, governor.

Anyway, I’m surprised those two allowed themselves to be taken alive. I think I would have risked getting shot to avoid being picked up under these circumstances. And I’m not necessarily happy they were captured. That would depend on why they were put in prison. But it’s definitely good that they smoked a couple of “officers” to make their escape. The world can always use fewer of those.

Back to the magic number 33 on the bus. Of course that had me wondering if story was even true. Then my thoughts wandered further. Lets say it is true. Perhaps they had legitimate reasons why they felt it was worth a try. Is there video from the bus? Were they possibly encouraged, coerced, set up, to do exactly what they did. Pics of them w their shirts off w tattoos always adds to the drama. People have no idea how prisons are run, the shit people have to endure, who shouldn’t even be in there. It actually creates guys like these two. Destroying another human being, no problem. Notice prison documentaries are always the same, news etc. Should rename it the slanted news 24 hours a day of constant bullshit brought to you by the invisibles.

LOL… note the exact wording here, BMF…

“My sincere thanks to our local, state and federal law enforcement officers who assisted in the manhunt.”

      Key word: ASSISTED.

As you pointed out, however, no mention of the guy actually responsible for their capture.

Probably because he had to use a GUN to accomplish it.

Me, i’d be like so what’s your story before the cops get here.

I really hate to sound racist.
But these two in the picture.
Make good white people ashamed to be white.
I’ve seen them in all flavors.
    All colors in every race.
    Good people…bad people.

That applies to all the pigs searching for them, as well.
