The question is, is the silver .999 pure?
If you know it is then it is two pieces of .999 silver, but I wouldn’t just use a coin because I thought it was pure silver, I personally would have to be certain.
Being it is a coin from the US mint, it might not be all that much silver content. The Chinese have gold fakery figured out, so the US is probably just as crooked with silver.

Thanks. I want to make some, but all I have is a single silver coin. Could I cut it in half to achieve this, or are coins not useful for this?
